Typhoons are a weather event that occurs during the Summer in Rune Factory 5 (RF5). If you would like to learn more about the effects of typhoons, as well as get advice for how to deal with typhoons, read on!

Whenever bad weather is approaches, NPCs will mention it whenever you greet them. Make it a point to talk to NPCs for weather tips while also raising your Friendship Levels with them.
Checking the upper-right corner of your screen will display the current weather. Use it for a quick reference.
With Wettable Powder, your crops will gain extra resistance to harsh weather conditions. If you obtain a Chemistry License, you can make your own and stock up beforehand.

By Giving Crystals to Farm Dragon, you can affect the status of your crops, soil, and the weather. Gaia Crystals and Ignis Crystals in particular, are useful for dealing with typhoons as they can affect the soil quality and the growth rate respectively.
Buying or crafting the Magnifying Glass will allow you to view the current status of your soil, allowing you to determine whether or not you crops are properly prepared for the typhoon. The quality of the soil varies from patch to patch, so check each patch of your farm thoroughly.
After Completing the Main Story, you can talk to Eliza to enact Extra Directives. By spending 1000 SEED Points each time, you can either you to prevent the formations of typhoons for a short period, or cause them to come earlier than scheduled.
Like blizzards in the Winter, typhoons in the Summer can heavily damage your crops. Constantly checking the health of your soil, as well as properly choosing which crops to plant will be beneficial in preventing day of hard work go to waste.
