Like other Boss Monsters, Dark Lizard can only be tamed by giving it one of its preferred items. Spectacles can be crafted as long as you have enough Aquamarine, so it is recommended to use that item to tame Dark Lizard. Note that if you do not tame Dark Lizard within 10 attempts, you will have to reload your save file or try again on another day.
