AC 42 Update #3.1 Patch Notes

• Removed bounce from Underbarrel Grenades when firing at short distances • Adjusted dispersion values for most weapons, which results in a faster dispersion decrease when tap firing or doing short bursts • Adjusted dispersion increases for most weapons. It now takes slightly longer for weapons to become overly inaccurate in sustained fire • Additional improvements to recoil control for all weapons, more specifically automatic weapons.

The TTK was computed by using the following formula: (60/Rate of Fire)*(BTK-1).

The in-game Rate of Fire isn't accurate for the AC-42 since it doesn't account for the downtime between bursts. We've manually calculated the in-game TTK and found that it's around 485~. From this, we can see that the High-Power Magazine has the best TTK beyond 50m. However, this doesn't mean the other ammo types can be disregarded. With its damage and rate of fire roughly the same across the board, this opens up possibilities to use your preferred ammo type and ammo capacity.

Best Attachments for Close to Mid-Range

The AC 42 has an increadible rate of fire at 1200 but with a harsh recoil pattern that kicks up at a 110 degree angle. We will need attachments that will improve firepower and its recoil control.

For close to mid-range fights, your best option would be the Fusion Holo. The kill requirement to unlock this attachment is a bit high, but it's worth the investment. Alternatively, you can use the 8R Holo in the meantime since it's one of the earlier sight attachments you can unlock.

The Standard Issue / Extended Mag is the best ammo type for the AC 42. The stats provided by the High Power magazine would have been preferable, but the extended mag is a huge help with how fast this gun fires.

The Cobra Grip is a very good grip attachment to improve the recoil control of Assault Rifles.

Lastly, the best barrel attachment for the AC 42 is the Tactical Compensator. This attachment will help reduce the horizontal recoil of the gun, which it desperately needs.

Best Attachments for Long Range

Due to the burst fire mode of this gun, you will find it quite hard to land all three shots at-long range targets. Changing the gun to single fire mode is the best way to kill targets more than 50 meters away. Because of this, you will want to use the High Power ammo type, which will give you the least amount of bullets needed to kill someone at that range.

For the most part, you can use all the same attachments from the close quarters variant of this build. However, the TV 2X is the best sight attachment for long-range combat situations.
