To solve the Coin Puzzle in Wood Side Apartments, you need to collect three coins and arrange them in a specific order specified by the riddle.

1. Go to Room 208 to Access Room 206
2. Unlock the Room 206 Safe for the Man/Sword Coin
3. Get the Woman/Grave Coin From the Dumpsters
4. Get the Flower/Snake Coin in the Pool Area
5. Solve the Coin Puzzle!

Go to Room 208 to Access Room 206

First, you need to go to Room 208 and open a cabinet that will give you access to Room 206 which houses a safe containing the Man / Snake Coin.

The cabinet is opened with the Golden Apple Handle obtained from an identical cabinet in Room 108. Opening both cabinets is simple - just turn the hands so that both are pointing downwards.

Unlock the Room 206 Safe for the Man / Sword Coin

Unlock the safe using the appropriate code for your Puzzle Difficulty setting. The code will open the safe revealing the Man Coin and a Steel Key, the latter used to leave Room 206.

Get the Woman / Grave Coin From the Dumpsters

The Woman / Grave coin is found in the dumpsters between Rooms 112 and 105 on the first floor of Wood Side Apartments, but the coin is not simply available from the get-go.

To get the Woman / Grave coin, you need to unlodge it from a trash chute, the access to which is found on the third-floor of Wood Rise Apartments. You need to reach Room 312 by exploring the area and entering the small gap in the room to get to the small shute room to its left. The same room contains a Canned Juice pack that you will need to throw in the trash chute to dislodge the things stuck in the chute, including the Woman / Grave Coin.

Afterwards, use the nearby stairwell to go down to 1F and retrieve the Woman / Grave Coin.

Get the Flower / Snake Coin in the Pool Area

The last coin is obtained from the Outdoor Pool Area of Wood Rise Apartments. A baby stroller in the center of the pool houses the coin and is surrounded by five (5) enemies. Defeat these enemies to have access to the stroller.

The Outdoor Pool Area is accessible from Room 116, the same room you'd encounter Eddie.

Solve the Coin Puzzle!

Once all three coins have been obtained, return to the room behind the reception area. There will be a poem that provides hints to the order of the coins, and 5 circular indentations in a row with a locked 6th slot on top. The poem will also differ based on your difficulty setting.

For this puzzle, note that each coin will have two sides and both sides will be used to solve the puzzle!

This puzzle is located in the room that is directly behind the Receptionist Area, and is available as soon as players are able to enter Wood Side Apartments. Solving it requires a full exploration of the apartment, however!

Coin Puzzle Rewards

Gives the Room 201 Key

Completing the puzzle awards the player with the Room 201 Key, used to open the matching room in the Wood Side Apartments building. Room 201 is an important room that enables access to the next major area, the Blue Creek Apartments.
