The answers for the elevator quiz are 2, 3, and 1. The numbers are used to unlock the decorative box in the Pharmacy of the Otherworld Hospital.

Hospital Elevator Quiz Questions

Entering the decrepit elevator of the Brookhaven Hospital Otherworld, you are greeted by an announcer asking James three questions. Make sure to take note of the answer to these questions as it will be used later on.

Question 1

"In the early eighteen-hundreds, a terrible disease spread across Silent Hill resulting in the death of many of its inhabitants. Their bodies thrown into the lake to sleep forever in their watery grave. How many souls were lost during the plague?"

Choices:
① 42
② 67
③ 85

Answer: ②

The answer was obtained from a plaque near Toluca Lake commemorating the memory of the sixty-seven souls who perished and now sleep beneath the lake.

Question 2

"Follow Sanders Street heading East and further on, to the outskirts of town. One - and only one - road will take you towards the lumber yard and the cemetery. What is the name of that road?"

Choices:
① Bachman Road
② Munson Street
③ Wiltse Road

Answer: ③

This is pretty simple. Check out the first map of Silent Hill you got from James' car at the start. You will see that Wiltse Road is the only road that connects Sanders Street and Nathan Avenue, the road adjacent to the ranch with a lumber yard and the cemetery.

Question 3

"Silent Hill witnessed a gruesome murder a few years back. A brother and sister were playing in the road when they were attacked and chopped into pieces with an axe. Torn flesh, smashed bones, splattered blood... What a terrible tragedy. What a gruesome end to such innocent lives. One of the victims was a local boy named Billy Locane. BUT... what was the name of the other victim, Billy's sister?"

Answer: ①

This one's a bit tricky. You have to go back and take note of a newspaper you've read way back in Wood Side Apartments about the murder of the Locane siblings. In the newspaper, it is mentioned that the siblings were Billy and Miriam Locane.

How to Use the Quiz Answers

Unlocks The Decorative Box

James will not be able to use the answers while in the elevator itself, but it will be used later when he stumbles upon a decorative box on the first floor of the Otherworld Hospital.

The box will have nine buttons, bearing the buttons ① ② ③ arranged in three rows with Q1, Q2, and Q3 written on the left. This is a hint that you have to enter the answers to the questions in the elevator to open the box.
