Enter the Door With a Light on It
After jumping down the square hole and finding the door through the walls, go to the area with the two doors. Then, enter the door that has a light on it.

Once through the door with a light on it, enter the rusty door on the right. Then, grab the Spiral-Writing Key in the middle of the room. Your flashlight will then go dark and the room will be filled with bugs.

To escape the bug room, you must enter a three-digit code containing the numbers 2, 3, and 9 on the keypad. The correct code for the bug room is random for every playthrough, so you must use trial and error to unlock the door.
The clue for the puzzle is just intuition, knowing that the most used numbers on the keypad are most likely the cleanest due to them being overused to open the door time and time again.

The Bug Room Code puzzle is part of the story and can be encountered while progressing through the Historical Society. It's done in the same room where players pick up the Spiral-Writing Key.

You'll be able to escape the bug room with the Spiral-Writing Key after inputting the correct code. The key can be used to open the nearby locked gate on the floor, allowing progress to Toluca Prison.
