Hotel Safe Code for Break Room Safe

Code is 7414

The safe in the Break Room uses the code 7414, regardless of the player's selected puzzle difficulty.

Hotel Safe Code Clue Location

1. Get the Green Gemstone in the Kitchen
2. Find the Blue Gemstone in the Freezer
3. Get Red Gemstone in Manager's Room
4. Open the Gem Box and Safe

Get the Green Gemstone in the Kitchen

The code to open the Break Room Safe is inside the Gem Box puzzle in the Manager's Office, which requires three gemstones to open.

The Green Gemstone can be obtained on a countertop in the Kitchen, accessible via the Cafeteria and Dish Room.

Find the Blue Gemstone in the Freezer

The Blue Gemstone is found in a freezer in the Freezer Room, which players can get to by entering from the adjoining Pantry.

Get Red Gemstone in Manager's Room

The last stone, the Red Gemstone, is obtained in a box in the Manager's Room. To reach it, players will have to push a cabinet in the TV Room to reveal a gap in the wall that can be used to enter the Manager's Room.

Open the Gem Box and Safe

Return to the Gem Box in the Manager's Office. Each Gemstone can move one of the pieces in the center of the box; the goal is to have the box match the symbol on the painting. Follow the arrangement above to open the box.

Retrieve the paper with the code 7414 from inside the box, and return to the Break Room safe to use the code and unlock it.

Unlocked in the Employee Section

The Gem Box and Break Room Safe are both found in the Employee Section of the 1st Floor of Lakeview Hotel, accessed through the Employee Elevator once it has been unlocked with the key from the locked suitcase.

Note that prior to entering the Employee Section, James must deposit all his items in a cabinet; players will have no weapons or items during this segment of the game.

Hotel Safe Code Puzzle Rewards

Basement Key and Video Tape

Opening the Break Room Safe grants players the Basement Key, which is used to get the Little Mermaid Figurine for the Music Box, and the Video Tape that James had left in the hotel prior to current events.
