Reception Office Padlock Combination Puzzle Guide

This puzzle will ask you to get the numerical code for the padlock of the key cabinet near the Nurses Reception. Solving the riddle found in Exam Room 3 by taking into account the number of elements on certain photos is the key to solving this puzzle.

Players are rewarded with the basement key that will allow them to access the basement of the hospital and continue the story.

Go to Exam Room 3 For the Clue

To get the clue for the Reception Padlock Combination, go to Exam Room 3 by breaking a glass window. Then, approach the adjacent connecting room between Rooms 3 & 2 then open the drawer to reveal the clue. The clue you will see differs based on the difficulty you have set.

Light Difficulty Clue

Light difficulty is very straightforward in providing the clues. You are given the first two numbers straight away, with the final number being the number of nurses in the lobby photo. The photo is near the reception office padlock itself so it is very hard to miss.

Standard Difficulty Clue

For this clue, you have to count the number of nurses, doctors, and trees found in photos along the hallway near the nurse reception. Just arrange them in the same order as the clue and you should be golden!

Hard Difficulty Clue

This one is a bit more complex to make players think about numbers. First, count the number of nurses and add 1 to account for the "one short" line. Then subtract it by three because "two are dead and one is a fraud". This will be the second number.

The third number is just half of the number of trees in the picture. Lastly, the first number is 1 because of the word "singular".

Look For the Numbers in Picture Frames

The numbers in question for this puzzle are all found in photos scattered around the reception area hallway. You should take note of three things: the number of nurses, doctors, and trees.

There are 7 nurses, 2 doctors, and 4 trees and those numbers will be used to solve the puzzle based on the riddle.

Unlock the Padlock at the Reception Office

Once you have obtained the numbers based on the clue, go to the padlock found at the reception office and enter the numbers you have hypothesized. Also, note that the number will change depending on your set puzzle difficulty because the clues are different!

Obtain the Basement Key

Once you have successfully opened the reception padlock, you will get a Basement Key. This allows you to access the basement of the hospital to continue with the story.
