Reveal the Scales

This puzzle centers around the Scales found in the Yard of Toluca Prison, initially covered by a cloth. Remove the white cloth cover to unveil a scale with an indicator, as well as four animals that the indicator can point to.

There is also a set of weights in front of the Scales, with only the initial, left-most weight present at the moment. To progress this puzzle, players will need to find more weights for the scale, and return here to use them.

Find The Heaviest Weight in the Chapel

The first of the missing weights can be found in the Chapel. From the Scales, walk back through Block B and into the hallway where the Armory is, but instead head north into the Chapel. The Heaviest Weight will be on the altar.

Open the Door Marked Headless Serpent

Return to the Scales with The Heaviest Weight. Use the weights to move where the indicator points. Place The Heaviest Weight on the right, and the left-most Initial Weight on the left, to get the indicator to point at the snake.

This will unlock the door on the map that is labelled Headless Serpent. Navigate to this door and walk through it to enter the Serpent Section of Toluca Prison.

Get Medium Weight in Serpent Section

The weight in the Serpent Section is located in the Death Chamber. To gain access to this room, players will need to overload the Generator in the Witness Room, opening all doors in the area.

To overload the Generator in the Witness Room, flip the switches such that they are all up, and the gauge is in the red, then flip the breaker lever. Afterwards, get the Medium Weight from the electric chair in the Death Room.

Light	Flip the switches in this order: 4th - 5th - 2nd - 1st - 3rd
Standard	Flip the switches in this order: 6th - 4th - 5th - 1st - 3rd - 2nd
Hard	Flip the switches in this order: 4th - 5th - 2nd - 1st - 3rd - 6th - 7th

Unlock the Door Labelled Hornless Ox

Once again, manipulate the indicator using the weights that have been acquired. This time, place the left-most Initial Weight and Heaviest Weight on the left, and the Medium Weight on the right, unlocking the Ox door.

Retrieve Heavy Weight From the Showers

There is a brief chain of progression required to get the next weight. Head to the second floor via the door marked Hornless Ox, and go into the Guardroom for a Block D Key. Head to Block D and open Cell D5 for a Shiv Key.

Backtrack to Block C and open Cell C4, then crawl through the hole in the room to reach some pipes. Navigate through the pipes to arrive at the Toilets, then run to the Showers area to find the Heavy Weight in a hole in the wall.

Open the Door Marked Eyeless Boar

The next animal is the boar; to unlock its door, place the left-most Initial Weight on the left, and all other current weights on the right.

Find the Light Weight in the Infirmary

Pass through the door marked Eyeless Boar to get to the Boar Section, and head to the Infirmary. Get the Upper Floor Key from a desk in the back and use it to unlock the stairs by the Men's Room.

Go up to the Warden's Room. Type SICK into the typewriter to open the drawer and obtain the Light Weight.

Unlock the Wingless Dove Door

The final of the four animal doors requires players to place the Medium Weight on the right, and the other four weights on the left. This will unlock the door on the map marked Wingless Dove.

Get the Lightest Weight in the Basement

Walking past the rusty gate behind the door labelled Wingless Dove will cause it to collapse, locking players into the Basement. Get the Lightest Weight in Cell F6 first by heading through a crawlspace south of Cell F15.

This leads to a room with a control panel for Cells F5 through F6. Push the Cell F6 button to open its door and get the weight. Then go to Cell F9, and break the wall to enter Cell F10, which has a ladder leading out of the basement.

Wait For the Door To Become Unlocked

After picking up The Lightest Weight, the door of Cell F6 will lock itself, and something will begin to bang on the door. These will both pass after waiting a short while; players can collect the Confession on the wall to read while waiting.

Finish the Weights and Scales Puzzle

With all six weights acquired, head back to the scales one last time. Place the left-most Initial Weight, the Medium Weight, and the Heaviest Weight on the right; place the Lightest, Light, and Heavy Weight on the left.

This will cause the indicator to rest on the sword in between all the animals, completing the puzzle.
