List of Contents
If you can sneak up on a nurse, specifically when it's head appears to be 'glitching', wacking her on the back should cause a knockdown.
Once down, just continue meleeing the nurse until there no more movement.
Unless staggered, the Bubble Head Nurse can counter, and she does so surprisingly often. It's recommended to melee attack from a dodge.
A clean headshot staggers a Bubble Head Nurse. 4 headshots finishes a nurse.
You can also knock her down by shooting the legs, but headshots are more effective.
While you can opt to melee to conserve ammo, the fastest and easiest way to take down a Bubble Head Nurse is with the Handgun.
Shoot in the head or legs, then finish off with melee attacks once she's down.
Move | Description |
---|---|
Backswing | The Nurse slightly raises her pipe and swings from right to left. |
Overhead Swing | The Nurse swings her pipe in an overhead arc. |
3-Hit Combo | The tell for this move is when the Nurse raises the pipe over her head. After a short delay, she brings the pipe down, then swipes to the right, and lastly swipes to the left. If you're some distance from a Nurse, she will charge at you before performing this move. |
Counter | Melee attacking a non-staggered Nurse will sometimes have her interrupt your attack and counter with a Backswing. |
Move | Description |
---|---|
Slash | The Nurse takes a quick swipe at you. |
Back Slash | Raises knife before quickly swiping from left to right. |
2-Hit Combo | The tell for this move is when the Nurse raises the knife slightly over her head. After a short delay, she brings it down, then does a Back Slash. (Can combo into a Grab.) |
Grab | Reaches for you with her left hand. Will perform stab attacks if grabbed. (Quick Time Event is required to escape). |
Counter | Melee attacking a non-staggered Nurse will sometimes have her interrupt your attack and counter with a Slash. |
You first encounter the Bubble Head Nurse as you progress through this area, specifically after accessing the basement to power up the elevator.
These Nurses commonly prowl various sections of the Brookhaven Hospital in the Otherworld. You come to this area after a cutscene following your victory over the Flesh Lips boss.
You will sometimes run into a Knife-wielding Bubble Head Nurse or two as you continue your journey across these areas:
The Bubble Head Nurse looks like a feminine monster with a nurse outfit. This monster carries a melee weapon that it will certainly use against James if it spots him.
Weakspot | Head, Legs |
---|---|
Attack Strength | Strong |
Movement Speed | Average |
Durability | Medium |
The iconic Nurse from the Silent Hill games makes her remake debut! Sporting an improved model and animations, this iteration of the Bubble Head Nurse is alluringly eerie. This time, she gains a quick burst of speed when initially aggroed by James.
On top of that, the Bubble Head Nurse now acts more erratically, potentially causing confusion and making players commit more mistakes.
Initially encountered in Brookhaven Hospital (Otherworld), this variant of the Bubble Head Nurse has faster melee attacks. Its blackish coloration also makes it harder to spot, and its new moveset is more difficult to read compared to standard Nurses.
