How to Beat Abstract Daddy

Don't Go All Out At First

This boss battle was designed to be prolonged and will happen over several confrontations. You can't beat the Abstract Daddy in one go.

Watch your ammo spending and learn its moves during the initial fight.

Abuse Long Openings

The Abstract Daddy doesn't have many moves, and the ones it does have are easy enough to read and avoid.

It's often open to attacks after a successful dodge. Use these moments to batter it as much as possible in melee.

Shoot Its Back

If you ever manage to reposition yourself behind it off of a successful dodge, aim for its back. Being able to shoot its head should do more damage than normal.

Use The Shotgun

Just like in the original, the Shotgun remains a very effective weapon against this monster.

Since you'll mostly be fighting it in crammed spaces, let off a shell or two after dodging at close range.

After your initial exploration of the area, you will eventually hear Angela's voice. Follow the path until you find her and a cutscene will play. You head straight into combat with the Abstract Daddy afterwards.
