Don't Go All Out At First

How to Beat Abstract Daddy Don
This boss fight was designed to be prolonged and will happen over several confrontations. You can't beat the Abstract Daddy in one go.

Watch your ammo spending and learn its moves during the initial fight.

Abuse Long Openings

The Abstract Daddy doesn't have many moves, and the ones it does have are easy enough to read and avoid.

It's often open to attacks after a successful dodge. Use these moments to batter it as much as possible in melee.

Shoot Its Back

How to Beat Abstract Daddy Shoot Its Back
If you ever manage to reposition yourself behind it off of a successful dodge, aim for its back. Being able to shoot its head should do more damage than normal.

Use The Shotgun

Just like in the original, the Shotgun remains a very effective weapon against this monster.

Since you'll mostly be fighting it in crammed spaces, let off a shell or two after dodging at close range.

Abstract Daddy Moves

Move	Description
Subdue	Abstract Daddy rushes at you, almost as if trying to embrace you. Performs a grab if you don't evade. (Quick Time Event is required to escape).
Swipe	Every once in a while, if you are within arm's reach, Abstract Daddy will try hitting you with either its left or right hand.
Backhand	Abstract Daddy winds up its right hand and does a strong swiping attack.

After your initial exploration of the area, you will eventually hear Angela's voice. Follow the path until you find her and a cutscene will play. You head straight into the Abstract Daddy fight afterwards.
