Historical Society Walkthrough

• Enter the Historical Society
• Go Down the Long Tunnel
• Explore the Underground Area
• Obtain the Spiral-Writing Key
• Open the Door Using the Keypad
• Jump Down Past the Gate

Enter the Historical Society

Using the Historical Society Key obtained from the Otherworld Rosewater Park, enter the Historical Society Building. There is a save point near the entrance, which can be utilized before proceeding through the second door on the left.

Walk to the back end to find a photo of A New Clock in a glass cabinet. Smash the glass to get the photo, then walk back out. Proceed to the following room to find more displays and paintings, as well as a tunnel going down.

Go Down the Long Tunnel

Walk down the dark tunnel. This tunnel is designed to be extremely lengthy, so just keep walking downwards. Reaching the door at the bottom will award the Into The Abyss Trophy.

Proceeding through the door at the end will lead into a prison-like area, with bars and cells. A note on the nearby desk will read Toluca Prison, with a date and a prisoner number.

Explore the Underground Area

Exit the room with the note on the desk into a hallway, then turn left. The first room encountered after turning will have more photos to examine, but the 2nd room at the end of the hallway will have a square hole.

Jump down the hole to reach another section of the underground area.

Obtain the Spiral-Writing Key

Upon landing, break the walls surrounding James until you can pass through a door that leads to a waterlogged area. Turn right and follow the path until you reach an are a with two doors.

The door directly in front will be locked, so go through the door on the right to find a gate in the floor. Then go through another door into an adjoining room to find the Spiral-Writing Key on the floor.

Open the Door Using the Keypad

To exit the room where the Spiral-Writing Key is found, players will need to input a code into the keypad by the door they used to enter. The numbers used for the code will have cleaner buttons than the others.

Buttons 2, 3, and 9 are significantly less grimy than the others, indicating that these are the numbers in the code. As the code isn't set, keep trying different arrangements of these 3 numbers to unlock the door.

Jump Down Past the Gate

Backtrack to the gate in the floor, and use the Spiral-Writing Key to unlock it. Then, jump down through it. Upon landing, James will awaken in a dimly-lit area filled with tables and benches.
