    Not really important, but the dragon referred to as the soil dragon on this article is called a Terra dragon in the game. There is no soil dragon.

    I'm not seeing a differece in the crystals the dragons eat other than the ground crystal cost goes up each expansion from 1 to 3 etc.

    You missed something important: You'll also gain crystal fragments from normal enemies sometimes when using the Spell-Seal on them. The chance seems to vary (based on region? type?) and the type of crystal fragments vary by region rather than by monster.
