This guide will show you how to discard items in Resident Evil 3 Remake. If you are low on inventory space and need to figure out how make your inventory bigger, read on!
List of Contents
You will first need to open up your inventory. Next, hover over the item you would like to discard then confirm your selection. Select discard on the sub-menu (it will have a trashcan icon next to it). The game will give you a warning when you do so, select yes to confirm that you would like to discard the item.
After a Key Item has lost all its uses, a trashcan symbol will appear on it in the inventory. This means you can throw the key item away now.
There will be moments where you will have a full inventory and will have to make space to pick up an item you need in order to progress, or pick up an item with a high value, and you can not combine anything.
In these moments you will either have to find an Item Box to store your items, or simply discard an item you do not think you will need in order to save time.
There are certain items you can not discard. These items include:
Everything else, like gun powder, ammunition, healing items, and grenades are all discardable.
This will be up to the player. Generally, it is best to avoid discarding items, as they are not recoverable and it will be a waste of resources. But if the item you want to pick up is necessary at the moment, it is not entirely bad to discard a less useful item.
The best practice to avoid discarding is to put items you feel like you have no uses for yet into an Item Box.
