I tried playing Samuel and the damage reduction is very obvious. Please buff Samuel on the next update. He became useless.

Most people do. But I think Samuel is also good. He's not "tanky" as Tyrone but he deals a lot more damage than Tyrone.
I personally love to play as Tyrone. It's kinda difficult for me to play as Samuel. I always die.

Him or Tyrone in a team is a must. You need someone to tank those zombies.
Yes. No active skill/s required. But it doesn't mean you always need to get him in a team.
You will be able to destroy only 1 core if that's the case. Samuel just needs to smash it repeatedly.
I prefer Becca though. Shotgun + infinite ammo + bonus damage when crouching.
Samuel is really good in the last area. He can easily break the cores. His teammates should protect him a bit though.

Two-man front liners. They are good to use against Daniel and Annette.
As long as you don't miss the kick though. But it's hard. Well, you can use Tyrone and Samuel together. Even if he is not as strong as Tyrone, he still deals lot of damage, especially with his fists.
No. He's not good to use. Tyrone can stun-lock tyrants but he can't do it.
He might not be good defensively, he still has some skills to make up for it. It's just a matter of picking the right skill and equipment for him.
