• Enemies' HP bars are reduced. • Samus' HP is increased. • All Energy and Ammo are refilled at save stations. |
This is the easiest difficulty that players can experience in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Samus is a lot stronger with higher HP and it takes less attacks to defeat enemies. Furthermore, you can refill energy and ammo when saving.
| • All Energy and Ammo are refilled at the save stations. |
Normal Mode is the standard difficulty for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and has no adjustments towards Samus or enemies. When going to save stations, both energy and ammo are recovered.
|
• Requires clearing the game in Normal Mode. |
Hard Mode is an additional difficulty that you can get upon finishing Metroid Prime 4: Beyond with the Normal difficulty.

Casual Mode is recommended if you prefer to play the game for the story and want to focus less on combat. While fighting is still a major part of the experience, you are less likely to die against enemies with the HP adjustments.

Normal Mode is suggested for most players to experience the game in its intended difficulty. Furthermore, you can only unlock Hard Mode if you finish the game in Normal difficulty.

Hard Mode is the best setting if you wish to enjoy Viewros a second time, albeit with more challenging gameplay. You can only play this once you finish the story in Normal difficulty.
