Ice Shot is a Shot upgrade in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Learn what Ice Shot does, its effects, location, where to find the ice chip, its charged and super upgrades and how to unlock them here!

After you unlock the Psychic Boost Ball by defeating Keratos, return to the first room of Ice Belt, use Control Beam to open the door, and use the Psychic Boost Ball in the Spinner to drop down the case containing the Ice Chip. Bring to Mackenzie afterwards to unlock Ice Shot.

All Shot Weapons from Chips have at least two upgrades, a Super variant that deals extreme elemental damage at the cost of more Shot ammo and a charged variant that, as the name implies, requires you to charge to create special attack effects with also Shot ammo costs.

Location: Flare Pool Area: Shoreline Access How to Get: Use the Ice Shot to freeze the lava waterfall then use a missile or charge shot to destroy it, revealing the upgrade. |

Vi-O-La Boost Tank 1
Location: Sol Valley Area: Southeastern G.F. Debris How to Get: Ride Vi-O-La up a ramp to get onto the plateau. Use the Ice Shot to open the lock and reveal the upgrade. |

These are all the collectibles unlocked primarily with the Ice Shot upgrade. The Ice Shot can be used to freeze certain parts of the world or break Ice Locks.
