Proceed to Flare Pool and fight the dragon-like creature, Phenoros while equipped with the Vi-O-La IC Suit, as this will be the only way to fight it. Once defeated, you will be given the Psychic Grapple.

Location: Ice Belt Area: Bio-labs - Cryopod Conveyor How to Get: Use the Grapple to pull down two sections of the Morph Ball course running above you along the walls. Enter the course near the Bomb Slot and go through to the end to get the Shot Ammo. |

Location: Great Mines Area: Level 2 - Narrow Crevice How to Get: Use the Psychic Grapple to grapple across Crystal Crawlers along a chasm. Find this upgrade on the opposite side. |

Location: Great Mines Area: Level 2 - Crystal Crevice How to Get: Instead of grappling across the gap on the Crystal Crawlers, look behind you on the wall of the entrance to see a Crystal Crawler. Grapple up then jump across the tops of the rock to find the Shot Expansion on the farthest rock. |

Location: Sol Valley Area: Eastern G.F. Debris How to Get: Look up onto the building to find a hook you can grapple up onto, then climb up the debris to find the upgrade at the top. |

Location: Sol Valley Area: Ice Belt Entrance How to Get: In the room with the elevator descending to the Ice Belt entrance, look for a ledge you can Psychic Grapple up to. Continue ahead to find the Mech Part on a landing outside. |

Location: Flare Pool Area: Energy Injection How to Get: Grapple to the upper platform, then look for hanging hooks you can grapple onto. Continue to the top to reach a platform with the upgrade. |
