Legacy Suit How to Unlock and Effects
Collecting 100% of the Green Energy Crystals is required to reach the ending of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Make sure to get the crystals as soon as you see them while exploring Viewros.
Note that this is required for all endings, and each one is based on the number of scans collected and items discovered.

Green Energy Crystals are primarily seen in Sol Valley sticking out of the ground in bundles. Run them over while using Vi-O-La's boost and power slide features to destroy them and collect the crystals.
Make sure to collect all of them, as you will have to backtrack for the ones you missed.
Viewros (Sol Valley) Interactive Map

You can find Green Energy Crystals in the Lamorn Shrines found in Sol Valley. Visit them when you can, as they also give upgrades to Samus' weapons.
After unlocking the Psychic Power Bomb ability, you can use it to break the large rocks found in Sol Valley. These give a lot of Energy Crystals when destroyed.

Once you deposit 75% of the required green crystals, you will get a Green Energy Crystal Finder. Crystals will show up on the mini-map, making searching for them a lot easier.

Green Energy Crystals provide energy for the Memory Fruit to grow. This is a major quest given to you by the last Lamorn Priest and is necessary to reach the final ending.

Memory Fruits are essentially historical treasures, as they contain the very memories of the Lamorn within them. These fruits are borne from the Sacred Tree that the Lamorn people worship and have been with them throughout history.

Green Energy Crystals are mainly used as collectibles that can be deposited at the Altar of Legacy in Fury Green. Head to the Temple of Memory and interact with the console to turn in the crystals.
