| Psychic Visor | Upgraded Scan Visor that allows Samus to use her psychic abilities alongside her regular equipment. | Provided in the introductory section in Chrono Tower. |
| Missile Launcher | Allows Samus' Arm Cannon to fire missiles that can track enemies and deal significant damage. The amount of missiles carried can be upgraded with energy tanks. | Initially available to Samus, but is rediscovered in Fury Green when travelling with Mackenzie. |
| Psychic Glove | Allows Samus' to manipulate objects such as motes and other interactive psychic objects when in Psychic Visor mode. | Unlocked in the Arboreal Chapel in Fury Green on your first visit. |
| Control Beam | Upgraded Power Beam combined with psychic abilities. Allows Samus to control a Beam with her mind and guide it towards targets. | Unlocked during the first shrine with a psychic puzzle in Fury Green. |
| Psychic Bomb | Upgraded Bomb that Samus can guide to solve puzzles. Can also serve as a regular bomb that can be used to bomb jump when in Morph Ball form. | Unlocked by defeating Carvex in Fury Green. |
| Vi-O-La | New motorbike used by Samus to explore Sol Valley quickly. Can be used in the open-world but also on large spaces in biomes with reduced speed. | Unlocked during the first exploration of Volt Forge. |
| Vi-O-La Suit | New suit unlocked by Samus when unlocking Vi-O-La, allowing her to ride the bike and recall it immediately. | Unlocked during the first exploration of Volt Forge alongside Vi-O-La. |

| Psychic Boost Ball | Upgraded Morph Ball combining Samus' Psychic Ability that allows Samus to unleash a speed burst. | Unlocked after defeating Keratos in the Ice Belt. |
| Ice Shot | Shot Weapon used to deal huge ice elemental damage to targets. Each Shot costs 1 Shot ammo and requires replenishing consistently. | Unlocked by getting the Ice Chip in Ice Belt then delivering it to the shrine where Mackenzie stays in Fury Green. |
| Vi-O-La IC Suit | Upgraded Vi-O-La Suit, improving fire/heat damage resistance and automatically transforming Vi-O-La to IC Mode, allowing Samus to safely cross Magma/Lava areas. | Unlocked by returning to Volt Forge and the Assembly Plant |
| Psychic Grapple | Psychic Ability allowing Samus to have a grappling hook, allowing her to access areas with huge gaps safely. | Unlocked by defeating Phenoros in Flare Pool. |
| Thunder Shot | Shot Weapon used to deal huge electric elemental damage to targets and open electric switches. Each Shot costs 1 Shot ammo and requires replenishing consistently. | Unlocked by getting the Thunder Chip in Volt Forge then delivering it to the shrine where Mackenzie stays in Fury Green. |
| Psychic Spider Ball | Upgrades the Morph Ball to magnetize onto Spider Ball Tracks, hang from a Tether Node or ride a Psychic Ball Track. | Return to Ice Belt after unlocking Thunder Shot and go to the Ancient Temple region. |
| Super Missile | Upgrades the Missile Launcher to Launch Super Missiles, launching extremely powerful missiles at the cost of 5 Missile Ammo. | Finish the Morph Ball Course in the Great Mines. |
| Super Thunder Shot | Fire a sustained electric current that costs 20 Shot ammo to fire. | Go to either Ring of Thunder Shrine or Falling Labyrinth Shrine. Solving either will provide the Super Upgrade, leaving the Charged upgrade in the other Shrine. |
| Charged Thunder Shot | Fire a high-voltage burst that arcs against targets for 5 Shot ammo. | Head to either Ring of Thunder Shrine or Falling Labyrinth Shrine depending on which of the two you haven't visited and explore it to unlock the Charged version. |
| Super Fire Shot | Fire a high-damage, multi-projectile fire attack that consumes 15 Shot ammo. | Go to either Ring of Stone or Falling Labyrinth Shrine and solve the puzzle there. Solving either will provide the Super Upgrade, leaving the Charged upgrade in the other Shrine. |
| Charged Fire Shot | Fire high-damage, penetrative projectiles that deal fire damage at targets. Consumes 3 Shot ammo. | Head to either Ring of Stone or Falling Labyrinth Shrine depending on which of the two you haven't visited and explore it to unlock the Charged version. |
| Super Ice Shot | Launch a ricocheting barrage of icy projectiles costing 10 shot ammo. | Go to either Ring of Thunder Shrine or Falling Labyrinth Shrine. Solving either will provide the Super Upgrade, leaving the Charged upgrade in the other Shrine. |
| Charged Ice Shot | Fire 3 Shot Ammo to release ice projectiles that can ricochet at targets or surfaces. | Head to either Ring of Thunder Shrine or Falling Labyrinth Shrine. Solving either will provide the Super Upgrade, leaving the Charged upgrade in the other Shrine. |
| Psychic Power Bomb | Upgrades the regular Psychic Bomb to deal significantly more damage while also allowing to pair with Motes, which can help solve puzzles. | Defeat Omega Griever in the Great Mines to unlock. |
| Legacy Suit | Provides a Psychic Barrier to Samus by pressing R, costing 35 missile ammo. The barrier nullifies most attacks and can be used to damage enemies but too many hits will deplete it. | Go to the Altar of Legacy in Fury Green with 125% Green Crystals collected. |

Samus becomes stronger in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond via abilities and upgrades she picks up in the world. She is able to receive weapon upgrades, suit upgrades and as a unique feature to this game, psychic abilities when exploring the land of Viewros.
Complete Story Walkthrough and Progression Guide

Samus gains several upgrades to her powered suit in order to adapt to the environments of Viewros. Samus starts with the Varia Suit in this game, with upgrades to it discoverable later when you explore the region!

When Samus reaches certain areas during story progression, she will start unlocking different Arm Cannon Chips that she can give to Mackenzie to unlock the Shot weapon, allowing Samus to launch high-damage elemental projectiles at enemies.
