Metroid Prime 4 Beyond - Boiler Room Puzzle Solution

1. Scan and Activate the Controls

To start the Boiler Room puzzle, scan the boiler controls that Duke was standing at before you met him. This will raise the boiler in the adjacent room.

2. Expose the Boiler Internals

Use the Morph Ball hatch on the nearby wall to reach the boiler, and then roll into the slot in the floor. Use the Psychic Boost Ball to expose the boiler internals to move onto the next step of the puzzle.

3. Cool the Boiler With Ice Shots

Once its sides are exposed, the boiler will start to spew fire. You can dodge this by rolling under the flame jets in Morph Ball. To stop the flames, you will need to target the 4 glowing cores with Ice Shots to cool down the boiler.

Be Careful of Heat Spikes After Cooling

Note that each time you successfully hit one of the glowing cores, the flames will spike in intensity. Remain in Morph Ball to continue dodging the flames, and resume aiming at the cores once the flames return to normal.

The Boiler Room puzzle is located in the room of the same name in the western Flare Pool area, and is also where you first encounter Sergeant Ezra Duke. Speak with him to gain access to the puzzle.
