Shot Weapon used to deal huge electric elemental damage to targets and open electric switches. Each Shot costs 1 Shot ammo and requires replenishing consistently.

How to Get Thunder Shot

Return to Volt Forge after unlocking the Psychic Grapple and go through the Collapsed Catwalk in Tower 1 to reach the bottom floor. Find a grate which is partially broken and pull it with the Psychic Lasso to reveal the upgrade. Return to Mackenzie after to acquire the Thunder Shot.

Go to the Rings of Thunder or the Falling Labyrinth Shrines

Charged Thunder Shot
Go to either Rings of Thunder Shrine or Falling Labyrinth Shrine. Solving either will provide the Charged Upgrade first, leaving the Super Upgrade in the other shrine.

Super Thunder Shot
Head to either Rings of Thunder Shrine or Falling Labyrinth Shrine depending on which of the two you haven't visited and explore it to unlock the Super version.

All Shot Weapons from Chips have at least two upgrades, a Super variant that deals extreme elemental damage at the cost of more Shot ammo and a charged variant that, as the name implies, requires you to charge to create special attack effects with also Shot ammo costs.

How to Get: Requires the Thunder Shot to reach the room. Eliminate the robots, then shoot the panel on the wall with a Missile. Scan the next panel and pull it off with the Psychic Lasso. Then, use Morph Ball to go up the tunnel and reach the upgrade.

How to Get: Use the Thunder Shot on the switch in the wall to make the conductors come out of each wall. Thunder Shot the one close to you, then run to the opposite wall and Thunder Shot it within the time limit.

How to Get: Jump onto the rocks to reach the top of the mesa. Use Thunder Shot on the Thunder Lock to reveal the upgrade.

How to Get: Head to the Elevator Landing and use the Thunder Shot to unlock to large gate, then open it to find the upgrade on the right side.

How to Get: Return to Ice Belt after obtaining Psychic Lasso. Go straight instead of taking the elevator, and Grapple across the room. Outside, activate the Psychic Rail Boost, and use Psychic Boost Ball to cross to the other side.

How to Get: Use the Thunder Shot on the lock to reveal the upgrade.

How to Get: After unlocking Thunder Shot, return to the Sacred Flame Ceremony room and use the Thunder Shot on the corresponding door. Move each of the pylons to the bottom, and have them face the spire in the middle. Then, shock all three with the Thunder Shot to open the spire and reveal the upgrade.

These are all the collectibles unlocked primarily with the Thunder Shot upgrade. The Thunder Shot can be used to open electricity-related puzzles, Scout Bots and Thunder Locks.
