The main gimmick of the Aberax boss fight are the breakable nodes on its torso. These nodes are the only way to hurt Aberax, and can't be damaged while they glow so shoot them only when they aren't yellow.
As the fight goes on, more nodes become available to target on its body (up to four). Note that Aberax may also sometimes put up energy shields to manually defend these nodes.
Breaking all available torso nodes will reveal a larger node on its abdomen, which you can then continue to shoot to deal more damage.
Aberax has an attack wherein it releases several bouncing orbs that home in on Samus. These can be shot at and destroyed before they reach her, nullifying this attack.
Aberax can also release projectiles from its hands, or charge up a stronger projectile when its abdomen node is exposed. To dodge these, dash to the side as the projectiles move relatively fast.
When its abdomen node is exposed, Aberax can also charge a spreading shockwave that travels along the ground. Avoid the shockwave by jumping over it as it travels.
Aberax can also create an energy wall that travels outwards, and depending on the wall's height, you will need to either double jump over it or turn into the morph ball and roll under it to avoid the attack.
