It's harder for Estela to summon Lv. 3 Illusions in PvP game modes, so it's recommended to use a weapon-focused build instead. However, you should still aim to cast high-level summons as much as possible so that you can land guaranteed damage on enemies.

It's recommended to let Estela's summons do all the work in PvE so that she can stay safe and away from the enemies. This means that you'll want to use a build that heavily improves their damage output, but make sure that you're still using strong guns so you're not fully reliant on her abilities, especially against tougher foes.

In PvP game modes, Gallows is one of the best guns to use because it launches homing grenade launchers, as long as you hit your shots. This means that Estela will need to use a Mythic Primary, and DEL2 Sweet Ears is chosen because of its range bonus and stats.
However, as a note, Furies III is one of Estela's best guns since it's great at stacking her passive, so you can opt to use that and Scorched Earth instead if you prefer.

Since Estela wants to summon as many Lv. 3 Bewitched Illusions as possible, you should use the Furies III since you can easily stack her passive thanks to the critical point and ammo refund passives. As for the Heavy slot, Scorched Earth is used since it has a high Rate of Fire and can also quickly stack her passive.
However, if you're opting for a more weapon-focused build instead, then it's recommended to use an Exotic Heavy weapon instead and use whichever Mythic Primary you prefer.

While Estela's summons can be very good in PvE game modes, good players can easily kill them off quickly. Because of this, it's recommended to use a weapon-focused Artifact set instead so that you're not fully reliant on her summons and you distribute some of the build's power to her guns.
However, if you can't hit shots or the enemies can't easily deal with summons, then you can opt for a Summon-focused set instead.

Estela will want to increase the damage and survivability of her summons so that they can stay alive and deal as much damage as possible. Although, if you don't want to be fully reliant on her summons, you can use alternate Summon-type Artifacts that spread out buffs between Estela and her summons instead.
