Although Gwynn is the required character for this quest, you do not need to own Gwynn in order to complete it. You will be given a trial version of Gwynn to use when you start the character story mission in the Ascendant Realm.
The enemy combatant level for this mission depends on your level. It should automatically scale to you.
Gwynn Abilities, Skill Tree, and How to Get
The Gwynn character quest becomes available immediately upon completing Ice Field Phantoms. However, the mission where you play as Gwynn will not start until you interact with her silhouette in the ice cavern.
Ice Field Phantoms Quest Guide
| 1 | ![]() In the same ice cavern Ice Field Phantoms ended in, a hologram of Gwynn will appear. Approach her to start the mission in the Ascendant Realm. |
|---|---|
| 2 | ![]() Head towards the green light. Defeat the enemies in this area, then interact with the rune to free Attal. |
| 3 | ![]() Go to the wall of green mist, and interact with the rune to open the way. |
| 4 | ![]() Follow the path. Avoid the spiked swinging objects either by using your Soul Assault ability to teleport past it or by timing you movements correctly. You can avoid or defeat the enemies along the way. ▶︎ All Relic Abilities |
| 5 | ![]() Defeat the Taken Knight blocking your path. Once its health is low enough, it will summon offerings to heal itself. Shoot at those to prevent it from going back to full HP. ▶︎ How to Beat the Taken Knight |
| 6 | Proceed along the path. Avoid obstacles along the way. |
| 7 | ![]() Your path will be blocked by another Taken Knight. Defeat it and the other enemies in this area to proceed. |
| 8 | ![]() Go forward, and you will be transported near the Wizard's tower. Enter it and follow the path upward. |
| 9 | ![]() Interact with the rune confining Attal. This will trigger the boss fight with Ir Eruna. ▶︎ How to Beat Ir Eruna |
| 10 | ![]() Defeat Ir Eruna, then interact with the rune. This will trigger the second phase of the Ir Eruna boss fight, but this time you can make use of your Soul Harvest Super ability. |
| 11 | ![]() Once Ir Eruna is at half health, a cutscene will trigger, and you will be sent to the final phase of the boss fight. Defeat Ir Eruna once and for all to complete the quest. |

You will need to face against Taken Knight twice in this quest. For both fights, whenever the Taken Knight goes down to less than half health, it will start to summon Hive enemies to absorb their life essence. When this happens, prioritize shooting at the summoned enemies to prevent the Taken Knight from healing too much.
The best way to damage the Taken Knights is to use your abilities. Both of her signature abilities are particularly useful if you're surrounded by enemies, but they can also deal a good amount of damage to the boss.

Ir Eruna is the final boss of the Gwynn quest, and she has three phases to her boss fight.
In the first phase, attack her normally using your weapons and abilities. In the second phase, you'll unlock Gwynn's Super ability, Soul Harvest. Use this as much as possible to make quick work of Ir Eruna.
For the final phase of the boss fight, you will be sent to a different location where you cannot respawn if you are defeated. Luckily, this phase of the fight is fairly simple. You will remain in your Super state throughout the battle, so just keep using your Super ability on Ir Eruna while chasing after her.
| Gwynn Rewards |
|---|
|
・Lumia Leaf x5 ・Bon Voyage Charm x1 ・Team XP x100 ・Incandescence Tuft x6 ・Glimmer x3000 |
Completing the Gwynn character quest will reward you with Lumia Leaves, a Bon Voyage Charm, Team XP, Incandescence Tuft, and Glimmer. The Lumia Leaves will not be part of the first set of mission rewards that appear when you defeat Ir Eruna, but they will be given immediately after the quest ends.

If you've unlocked Gwynn as a character, you can unlock the entry for Miss Peacemaker in her diary after completing the quest. This also rewards you with 5 Lumia Leaves.

If Miss Peacemaker is still not unlocked despite completing Gwynn, you may need to redo the quest. Since the Gwynn quest is available even if you do not have Gwynn as a character yet, completing it before you pull Gwynn may not count to her diary progress.
You can redo the quest by going to the Journey tab in Gwynn's Lore menu in the Characters screen. Select the Gwynn quest and Experience Again to try out the quest again.
Take note that redoing quests will not give you the quest rewards again.

This event only requires you to complete the first two character quests under Gwynn. The rest of her character quests, starting with Unexpected Guests, only become available once you have unlocked Gwynn as a character and are not required for the Memento Mori event.
