Destiny Rising - How to Use Mods

Use weapon mods by inserting them in each mod slot in Destiny: Rising. Learn how to use weapon mods here, as well as how to unlock and how to get weapon mods.

How to Use Weapon Mods

  1. Go to the Weapons Option
  2. Select Mods
  3. Insert Mods in Each Slot

Go to the Weapons Option in the Character Screen

Open Weapon Screen

To use weapon mods, open the weapons section of the Character screen. You can do this by tapping any of their equipped weapons.

Equippable Mods

On the weapon screen, check the last option in the middle to use mods. If this option isn’t available, make sure to progress to Chapter 5-1 to access weapon mods.

Insert Mods in Each Slot

Weapon Mod Slots

Insert the appropriate mod in each slot. If you have a Scope, only equip a scope in that slot. The same goes for Magazine and Ammo.

Mods Do Not Carry Over to Similar Weapons

Equipped Mods Transfer Limit

Mods are exclusive to the currently equipped weapon of your character. This means that even if you have another weapon of the same name, you still need to set the mods on the other weapon, making it a need to gather or farm additional mods if you want to use similar ones on that weapon.

How to Get Weapon Mods

Strike: Heroic

Heroic Strike Reward

You can get mods as rewards from doing Heroic Strikes. This is the hardest version of Strike and requires Level 46 to unlock, so make sure to level up your Team Level first to access it.

Mods Reward
You can also get a couple of mods by completing missions. Chapter 5-1, for example, the chapter where you unlock mods, will give you a couple as starters.

Weapon Mod Choice Bundle

You can also get a mod of your choice when opening Weapon Mod Choice Bundles. These bundles come in different rarities, and you can choose from Rare, Legendary, or Mythic depending on availability.

As mentioned above, weapon mods can only be unlocked upon reaching Chapter 5-1. Make sure to progress the game up to this point to start using mods.
