This is the tier list for weapon rankings in Player vs Player game modes. It should be noted that certain weapon types are inherently worse in PvP game modes, unless they're used by players who can expertly wield them.

PvP Tier List Ranking Criteria

S Tier Weapons in the S-Tier are very powerful, and are a class above all other weapons. They are also used often enough to the point that they should be kept in mind and expected to be used by opponents.
A Tier A-Tier weapons are strong in general, but can't compete with those in the S-Tier. However, they can be on par with them when used by the right build.
B Tier Weapons ranked in the B-Tier are okay at best, but they can still be effective when used under the right conditions.
C Tier C-Tier weapons shouldn't be used most of the time, unless you really like them or they're one of the strongest weapons you have available at the moment.

This is an explanation for the criteria used for weapon rankings in PvP game modes. Depending on new and upcoming content, weapon rankings can change or shift depending on the criteria listed above.

This is the tier list for weapon rankings in Player vs Environment (AI) game modes. It should be noted that rankings aren't overly strict, since the best weapons to use often change depending on enemies and scenario.

PvE Tier List Ranking Criteria

S Tier Weapons in the S-Tier are considered to be the strongest for PvE. However, since enemy encounters and weaknesses differ between scenarios, S-Tier weapons can underperform if used improperly.
A Tier A-Tier weapons are often weaker than those in the S-Tier, but they can be on par with them when used in the right instances or builds.
B Tier Weapons in the B-Tier aren't as good as those in the tiers above, but can still be suitable alternatives if you don't have those in the S or A-Tiers yet, or if those weapons are not yet properly built.
C Tier C-Tier weapons shouldn't be used unless they're a weapon that you like, if they're one of your stronger weapons available, or if they're useful in niche scenarios.

This is an explanation for the criteria used for weapon rankings in PvE game modes. Depending on new and upcoming content, weapon rankings can change or shift depending on the criteria listed above.
