Exotic and Mythic Engrams can be obtained through playing various game modes and doing Quick Synthesis in Destiny: Rising. Learn how to get Exotic and Mythic Engrams here and the differences between them in this guide.

Gauntlet: Blitz
The best way to earn Mythic Engrams is by participating in the Gauntlet: Blitz. Simply queue up, aim for a win, and you’ll receive a variety of rewards, including Mythic Engrams.
Dismantle Mythic Weapons
You can also get Mythic Weapon Engrams by dismantling weapons. Only dismantle mythic weapons you no longer need and are willing to exchange for something else.
You can access Weapon Dismantle in the Inventory. Select the weapon you want to dismantle to receive rewards, or dismantle multiple weapons at once using the bulk option.
Battle Pass
Mythic Engrams are also rewarded in the Battle Pass. You can earn some for free, but purchasing the Premium Pass will grant you more!
Battle Pass End Dates and Rewards
Shifting Gates
Mythic Engrams are also rewarded in the Shifting Gates PvP mode. It’s recommended to play this with friends if you’re farming for rewards!
Multiplayer Guide: How to Play With Friends
Strike: Heroic
Mythic Engrams are also rewarded in the Strike: Heroic game mode. You can access this mode through Weapons Adventure, but it will only be available once you reach level 46 or higher.
Leveling Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Calamity Ops
Calamity Ops can also reward you with Mythic Engrams. This game mode can be accessed through the Adventures tab.
Exchange Weapon Paramaters via Quick Synthesis
The only way to get Exotic Engrams is through Quick Synthesis. You’ll need Exotic Weapon Parameters, then head to the Synthesize feature in your Inventory to exchange them for engrams.
The same applies to Mythic Engrams, which require Mythic Weapon Parameters instead.
Exotic and Mythic Engrams Information
Exotic Engram
Exotic Weapon Engrams can be used to randomly get an Exotic weapon in Destiny: Rising. These can only be acquired by exchanging Exotic Weapon Parameters.
Mythic Engram
Mythic Weapon Engrams can also be used to get Mythic weapons. However, unlike Exotic Weapon Engrams, Mythic weapons have more sources beyond Synthesis.
