Tan-2 can be less effective in PvP if you can't land headshots. However, if you can, he's a powerful sniper that can easily one-shot vulnerable foes. Just make sure that he's using a build that balances his survivability and damage so he can look for Sniper one-taps.

Even if Tan-2 is mainly a Support that excels at healing and buffing allies, he can also do a ton of damage with precise weak spot shots. This makes him a very flexible character in PvE game modes, but it's generally recommended to use a more Sniper-centric build unless your team needs you as their main healer.

Unless you're a skilled player, Tan-2's weapons can be hard to use in PvP since you'll need to land headshots to maximize your damage output. It's recommended to use the Izanagi's Burden because it has strong one tap potential, but you can use the Polaris Lance instead if you're more comfortable with that Exotic.

Borealis is one of the best weapons in PvE since you can destroy any elemental shield, thus allowing your team to be more flexible with their picks. However, if your team has all the necessary elements covered, it's better to go for Izanagi's Burden instead because of its raw damage output.

Tan-2's build in PvP will want a balance of damage and survivability so that you can look for Sniper one shots. However, if you're having a hard time staying alive, you can opt for a more healing-focused set so that you're not quickly burst down.

Even if Tan-2 is meant to be a Support that heals and buffs allies, it's generally recommended to go for a high-damage Sniper build so that you can quickly take down bosses. Although, as a note, you should always adjust to what your team needs, and you can opt for a more balanced or healing-focused set to be safe.

These are some of the characters that pair well with Tan-2 in PvP game modes. However, as a note, they're good specifically with Tan-2, and other characters may be better teammates depending on who else is on the team.

・ Applies blind, which can help with keeping Tan-2 safe. ・ Similar to Jolder in that his Signature 2 and Tan-2's Signature 1 and Super have great synergy. ・ Sets up his shield more often than Jolder, which can be better depending on the scenario. |

・ Offense characters who like to stay in one area, thus maximizing Tan-2's stationary abilities. ・ Has good wave-clearing abilities, which Tan-2 is bad at. ・ Estela is often better than Ikora since she also does good damage against bosses. |
These are some of the characters that pair well with Tan-2 in PvE game modes. Although, they may be less effective depending on the mission's scenario, so make sure to check if they'll be a generally good pick first.
