Level up fast in Destiny: Rising by completing quests and adventures. See the best ways to level up, how Team Levels work, and what to do once you've reached the Server Level Cap.
List of Contents

The best way to level up is by finishing any quest that's available to you. Besides the rewards that the quests give, finishing one tends to unlock a new one afterwards, which in turn means even more EXP and rewards to get.

Once you've exhausted all of the quests that are available to you, the next best way to level up is by participating in Adventures. These are the PvE Activities that also grant you item and equipment upgrades, which help make your characters stronger as well.

While you're playing the game, it's recommended to check the Bounties that you have and complete them. These best to complete these while you're doing a quest or adventure so that you can do them and get EXP without having to go out of your way.

If you've exhausted all other methods for levelling up, you can still explore open-world areas, like Jiangshi Metro, for collectables. Besides the EXP and rewards you get, you will increase your Exploration Progress and Reputation Rank, which can reward you with more pulls on the permanent banner.

Instead of having to level up each character manually, the Team Level mechanic makes it so that each character is levelled up uniformly, all at the same time. This way, if you get new characters in the future, you won't need to level them up first for their base stats to be on par with the rest of your roster.

Besides affecting your characters' base stats, the Team Level is also used to check if you've made enough progress to unlock new content. This way, you can't power through lower levels with overpowered characters, and you'll experience a smooth progression system.

If your only goal is to reach the next level to play new content, then there's nothing else to do besides waiting for the server to reset and raise the Level Cap. However, it's recommended to do other activities in the meanwhile so that you can get more resources.

Even though you won't level up past the Server Level Cap, you can still earn EXP. Once the cap has been raised after the server reset, you will automatically level up if you have enough EXP.

Besides continuing to grind EXP, it's recommended to do activities that grant you Lumia Leaves. There are a ton of ways to get these, like through Tutorials or Achievements, and you'll end up using these to pull for Characters on the Gacha Banners.
How to Get and Farm Lumia Leaves Fast

One important thing you still need to do after hitting the Server Cap is upgrading your Characters and increasing their Power Levels. This way, once the Level Cap is raised, your characters will be strong enough to take on any newly unlocked content.

If there's nothing else to do once you've hit the Server Level Cap, then consider playing other game modes, like PvP or Pack Hunts. These still give amazing rewards that can help you outside of those modes, and are worth investing time in if there's nothing else for you to do.
