List of Contents

Artifacts allow you to equip characters with Set Effects that improve their offense, survivability, or enhance their unique attributes.
These allow you to customize and tweak your character to fit a certain playstyle revolving around your equipped set effects and attributes!

The same artifacts may have different attributes as seen in the example above. Both are Bloodthirsty Shell artifacts with the same set effects, but have different attributes which is something to consider carefully when equipping them to a character.
Keep an eye on the thumbs-up icon on the artifact as this shows the attributes that best fit the character you're trying to equip the artifact on.

Although all characters can equip all kinds of artifacts, some have no effect on the character you're equipping due to weapon restrictions.
As seen in the example above, Attal can't equip the Bloodthirsty Shell artifact as it's set effect activates on Spread weapons which Attal can't equip.

Singularity: Chaos is the primary activity where you can get Artifacts, with better quality artifacts being rewards for using Pinnacle Energy when opening chests.
You can customize what artifacts you'll get when doing this activity by using Challenger's Wish to ensure you're only getting artifacts on the character yoou're currently building.

You can also get Artifacts from Choice Engrams which are rewards from Singularity: Order in Realm of IX.
You can earn Legendary Artifact Choice Engrams starting from Singularity: Order IV, while Mythic Artifact Choice Engrams are rewards from Singularity: Order V and higher.

You can also get a random assortment of Artifacts from Artifact Bundles which are purchased with Glimmer from the Artifact Institute.
You can only buy each bundle once and it's currently unknown if the buy limit will refresh in the future. These are worth buying if you have the Glimmer to spare and want a chance to get an Artifact for the character you're building.
