When you arrive at the spot where you want to fish, cast your rod into the body of water. Getting a bite might take a while, so be patient and pay attention to the bobber.

As a note, not all bodies of water are considered as fishing spots. If you want to go fishing, you will need to look for areas on the map that have the fishing icon.

Once you've gotten a bite, tap on the fishing button on the bottom right part of your screen. Players must do this fast, as the fish might escape before they can catch it.
If it's a common fish that's easy to catch, you will reel it in automatically, and you won't need to play the rest of the mini-game.

For harder to catch fish, they will struggle and you'll need to tap or hold the button to keep your bobber on the fish icon while the bar around it depletes. Once you completely deplete the bar, you've successfully caught the fish!

While the fish is struggling, continuously tapping or spamming the reel button will just fill the gauge back up. The best way to wear out the fish is to carefully time your taps and holds, making sure the indicator is always near the fish.

You’ll enter the Reeling Phase when hooking a mythic or exotic fish, which are marked by a stamina bar with 5 or 6 segments instead of the usual 3 to 4.
During this phase, a new interface appears showing a moving arrow and a zone with a green success marker. To progress, you must stop the arrow inside the green zone. Each successful attempt lets you keep reeling the fish, but for tougher catches, you may need to repeat this process several times before finally landing it.

Players can earn Fishing EXP after completing the minigame, which will then unlock rewards as you increase your Fishing Level. In addition to that, players will be able to keep the fish caught and potentially reel rare items or equipment as well!
Also, you can then turn in the fish that you catch to exchange them for Angler Tokens, which can then be used to purchase various items in the shop.
