Offensive Threat
Primarina can become a bulky offensive threat due to its high special stat spread. It also helps that it can learn Calm Mind, which boosts those same stats.
Easy to Build
Primarina is easy to build around since it has a wide range of moves. It is also cheap to build in Champions since you won’t need to spend much VP, especially since Liquid Voice is not that recommended.

This alternative build mainly focuses on giving Primarina more bulk and survivability. Use this if you want Primarina to stay defensive when on the field.

Primarina doesn’t have the best Speed, so you can easily target its weaknesses. Use physical Electric, Grass, or Poison-type attacks to pressure it and eventually defeat it if you survive its special offense. |
| Apply Support Pressure | 
You can also lead with an equally specially defensive Pokémon when facing Primarina. Toxapex is a great choice since it can apply Toxic, set up Toxic Spikes, and trap Primarina with Infestation, forcing it to succumb to the stacking Toxic damage. Another support option you can use is Araquanid if you want to set up Sticky Web. |

| Use Physical Super Effective Moves |
Take advantage of Primarina’s low Speed by countering it with a fast physical attacker. Sneasler is a strong choice, as it can target its weakness to Poison and even has a chance to inflict status conditions if Primarina survives. |
| Use Throat Chop |
Primarina is likely to use sound-based moves like its signature move, Sparkling Aria. You can prevent it from doing so by using Throat Chop. |
Use Physical Super Effective Moves
Primarina is slow and not very physically bulky. You can take advantage of this by targeting its weaknesses to Electric, Grass, and Poison with fast physical Pokemon.
Use Throat Chop
If your opponent is using Liquid Voice Primarina, you can prevent it from using sound-based moves by using Throat Chop. The best Pokemon to use is Palafin since it is faster, can tank its other attacks, and is purely physical, allowing it to heavily damage Primarina in return. Otherwise, you can stick with Sneasler, but be careful of potential Psychic-type attacks.

Lead with Orthworm and either set up Stealth Rock or use Shed Tail. Depending on your opponent, you can then pass the Substitute to either Sneasler or Primarina. If the opponent won’t pose too much of a problem for Primarina, pass it the Substitute. Otherwise, give it to Sneasler or any fast physical Pokemon with a similar role.
