You can increase your box capacity by ranking up in battles. Reaching certain tiers, such as Great Ball and Ultra Ball, rewards you with additional box slots, typically increasing your capacity by 5 each time.
This is the main way for free-to-play players to expand their storage.

Purchasing a membership, whether monthly or annually, immediately grants a large increase in box capacity along with other perks.
This includes an additional +1000 box slots, making it the fastest way to expand your storage.
Should You Buy the Annual Membership?

The Starter Pack is a one-time purchase that provides several early-game benefits, including an increase of +50 box slots.
This is a good option if you want a permanent boost without committing to a subscription.

Since the Starter Pack is a one-time purchase, the additional box slots it provides are permanent and will remain available on your account.

The extra box capacity gained from membership is temporary. Once your membership expires, your box size will return to its original limit, which may leave you over capacity.
If your box size is reduced after your membership expires, any Pokemon stored beyond your new limit will likely remain in your box but become inaccessible until you free up space or renew your membership.

Box size increases earned through ranking up appear to be permanent. However, as the game is still in its early stages, this has not been fully confirmed yet.
Based on similar systems in previous titles, these upgrades are likely to remain even after seasons reset.

When your box is full, you can free up space by returning Pokemon to the Roster Ranch.
Keep in mind that this action is permanent, and any Pokemon sent back to the ranch cannot be recovered.

If your box contains Pokemon transferred from Pokemon HOME, you can send them back instead of deleting them.
This allows you to keep them stored safely and retrieve them again later if needed.

Another option is to increase your box capacity through ranking up or purchasing upgrades.
This is a more sustainable solution if you frequently run out of space, especially as your collection grows.
