Protean Greninja is effective in singles because of its ability to keep change its typing with Protean.

Choice Scarf Greninja functions as a fast mixed attacker that outspeeds common threats. It can also surprise switch-ins with its physical and special coverage. Its unpredictabilty, speed, and offense make it an effective late-game sweeper.
