As seen on the last frame of the Pokemon Champions Announcement Trailer, only select Pokémon will be available for use in Pokémon Champions at launch.

In other words, not all Pokémon available in Pokémon HOME will appear in Pokémon Champions. This likely means that Pokemon Champions will start with a limited roster and Pokedex which can be expected to expand over time.

Can You Catch Pokemon in Pokemon Champions?

Although the methods are unclear, the fine print implies that Pokémon can be originally obtained within Pokémon Champions.

Interestingly, Pokemon acquired within Pokemon Champions cannot be deposited in Pokémon HOME.
