Pokemon Champion Stat Points

Stat Points are a newly introduced training system that seemingly replaces EVs in Pokemon Champions. Read on to learn more about Stat Points, and its difference from EV training from previous Pokemon games!

What Are Stat Points?

Training System to Replace EVs

Stat Point System

Pokemon Champions introduces a new Stat Point System, which seemingly replaces the traditional EV Training which revolved around using different consumables, or defeating certain Pokemon.

The Stat Point system allows players to set a Pokemon's EV Spread, paying VP depending on the designated Stat Points.

Changes From Traditional EV Training

The Stat Point System introduces 66 Stat Points that you can allocate to your Pokemon's Stats, with a cap of 32 Stat Points per stat.

This diverges from the old system where you have 510 EVs which you can spread out across your Pokemon's stats with a cap of 252 EVs per stat.

How to Train Pokemon

Requires VP to Train Stat Points

VP Cost for Training

Based on the July 2025 Pokemon Presents, removing Stat Points are free, but assigning Stat Points cost VP.

The VP Cost for assigning Stat Points is set as 2 VP per 1 Stat Point, meaning it will cost 132 VP to set a Pokemon's Stat Points to max from scratch.
