Physical Moves involve direct contact, such as tackles or punches, and are marked with a red icon in the move list. The moves use the Pokemon's Attack stat. The higher a Pokemon's Attack stat, the more damage a Physical move will do.
On the other hand, the Defense stat will reduce the damge taken from Physical Moves. The higher the Defense stat, the less damage a Pokemon will take from any Physical attack.
