Previously Xerneas' Signature Skill, Mega Floette can boost the damage dealt by its own and allies' Fairy-type moves just by being on the field. This synergizes well with pokemon like Milotic's and Skeledirge's Alluring Voice or Gengar's Dazzling Gleam!
A common held item when Flutter Mane was terrorizing SV, the lack of the Assault Vest Item makes it difficult for Pokemon to withstand Floette's powerful Special attacks.

Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam are its main STAB moves and gives you options for a spread move or single-target, allowing Mega Floette to deal heavy damage and even outright KO many Pokemon in the current metagame.
Psychic is one of its main coverage options to help it deal with any Poison-types that can threaten it.
Calm Mind is then useful for setting up on opponents to further boost your bulk and Firepower!
| Stats | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Timid Nature 32 SpA / 32 Spe |
You can also run a fast attacker Glass Canon build. |
| Moves | Explanation |
|
Pollen Puff |
For healing allies and Bug Coverage. |
|
Light of Ruin |
Can replace Moonblast but does have severe Recoil. |
|
Giga Drain |
Can slot in if you don't have coverage against Water-types. |
Floette is pretty much a one-trick pony and focuses on dealing as much damage with Fairy Aura boosted Moves. While lacking a bit in coverage, you stilll have options like Pollen Puff for a hybrid support or Giga Drain to make use of your Bulk.
Eternal Flower Floette and it's Mega Evolution are susceptible to strong Physical attackers like Aegislash and even Basculegion can one-shot Floette with a Wave Crash in Rain. Make sure to bring Pokemon that can cover its weaknesses like Incineroar or Garchomp.
| Counter | Pokemon | Info |
|---|---|
| Use Physically offensive Steel-types | Steel type Physical Attackers like Aeguislash and Corviknight can easily scare off Eternal Flower Floette due to it not having much of an answer to these. |
| Use Physically offensive Poison-types | In the same vein as Steel-type, Poison types like Sneasler can also easily take care of Floette, but there aren't as much options. |
A lot of Steel-types can check Floette due to its lack of coverage then take it out like with Corviknight's Heavy Slam or Aegislash's Iron Head. Sneasler can also outspeed and take Floette and it's Mega out due to its middling Speed.

Eternal Flower Floette
|
Eternal Flower Floette and its Mega is a powerful backrow Pokemon who is able to go through unprepared teams with minimal ease. Its teammates should be able to switch into super-effective moves intended for Floette and clear out threats that it cannot handle.
| Main Attacker | Fire Coverage |
|---|---|
Mega Floette
|
Milotic
|
| Steel Coverage | Prankster Support |
Garchomp
|
Whimsicott
|
Mega Floette is a pretty easy Mega to build around. Having teammates that can cover its weaknesses but also use its Fairy Aura to power up their own Fairy moves to take care of threats like Dragonite and Garchomp while covering each others' weaknesses makes for a strong core.
Having Whimsicott for Prankster Tailwind support will also help out against fast aggressive teams due to Mega Floette's Speed being pretty lackluster, especially in higher tiers.
