After You Normal Type IconNormal Status - 16 Changes the target's spot in the order of moves to make the target move directly after the user, for that turn only. The move can hit through Protect and Detect but cannot hit opponents that use Dig, Dive, Fly, Phantom Force, Shadow Force, and Sky Drop.
Agility Psychic Type IconPsychic Status - 20 Increases the user's Speed by two stages.
Air Cutter Flying Type IconFlying Special 60 20 This attack has a 1-stage increased Critical Hit ratio.
Air Slash Flying Type IconFlying Special 75 16 Has a 30% chance of causing the opponent to flinch.
Alluring Voice Fairy Type IconFairy Special 80 12 Damages and confuses a target if it a stat is raised on the same turn.
Ally Switch Psychic Type IconPsychic Status - 16 In a Double Battle, the user switches places with its ally. Fails when used in Single Battles.
Amnesia Psychic Type IconPsychic Status - 20 Increases the user's Special Defense by two stages.
Ancient Power Rock Type IconRock Special 60 8 Has a 10% chance to increase Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed by one stage.
Apple Acid Grass Type IconGrass Special 90 12 Lowers the opponent's Special Defense by one stage.
Aqua Cutter Water Type IconWater Physical 70 20 This attack has an increased Critical Hit ratio.

Aura Wheel Electric Type IconElectric Physical 110 12 Increases the user's Speed by one stage. If the user is in Hangry Mode, the attack type becomes Dark instead.
Aurora Veil Ice Type IconIce Status - 20 Reduces damage received from Physical and Special Attacks by 50% in Single Battles and 33% in Double Battles for 5 turns. This move can only be used during Snow and will continue even if the user switches out, or if Snow ends before this move's effect ends.
Avalanche Ice Type IconIce Physical 60 12 Doubles the damage if the target has already been damaged in the same turn.
Axe Kick Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 120 12 Has a chance to make the target confused if the move lands. If it misses, the user takes half of its max HP as damage.
Baby-Doll Eyes Fairy Type IconFairy Status - 20 Decreases the opponent's Attack by one stage.
Baton Pass Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 Switches out the user with another Pokemon in the party while retaining any stat changes.
Beak Blast Flying Type IconFlying Physical 120 8 The user charges first and attacks last within the same turn. If the opponent makes direct contact with the user while they are charging this attack, the opponent gets burned.
Beat Up Dark Type IconDark Physical - 12 Deals additional damage the more the Pokemon in the trainer's party. Pokemon which have fainted or status conditions will be excluded.
Belch Poison Type IconPoison Special 120 12 The user needs to eat a held Berry in order to use this move.
Belly Drum Normal Type IconNormal Status - 12 The user sacrifices half of its maximum HP to raise its Attack stat by 6 stages.
Bind Normal Type IconNormal Physical 15 20 Inflicts damage equal to 1/8 of the opponent's max HP each turn and prevents them from fleeing and switching out for 4-5 turns, or until the user switches out or faints.
Bite Dark Type IconDark Physical 60 20 Has a 30% chance of causing the opponent to flinch.
Bitter Blade Fire Type IconFire Physical 90 12 The user recovers half the damage inflicted.
Bitter Malice Ghost Type IconGhost Special 75 12 The user attacks the target with spine-chilling resentment. This also lowers the target’s Attack stat.
Blast Burn Fire Type IconFire Special 150 8 The user will be unable to attack next turn.
Blaze Kick Fire Type IconFire Physical 85 12 This attack has a 1-stage increased Critical Hit ratio. Has a 10% to burn the target.
Blizzard Ice Type IconIce Special 110 8 Has a 10% chance to freeze the opponent. Has increased accuracy during a Snowstorm.
Block Normal Type IconNormal Status - 8 Prevents the target from escaping.
Body Press Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 80 12 Uses the user's Defense stat to calculate offensive damage instead of the Attack stat.
Body Slam Normal Type IconNormal Physical 85 16 Has a 30% chance to paralyze opponents.
Bone Rush Ground Type IconGround Physical 30 12 The user attacks 2-5 times nonstop. Has a 37.5% chance for 2 hits, 37.5% chance for 3 hits, 12.5% chance for 4 hits, and a 12.5% chance for 5 hits.
Boomburst Normal Type IconNormal Special 140 12 No additional effect.
Bounce Flying Type IconFlying Physical 85 8 The user is semi-invulnerable during the first turn and attacks during the second turn. Has a 30% chance to paralyze opponents. If the target uses Gust, Helping Hand, Hurricane, Sky Uppercut, Smack Down, Thousand Arrows, Thunder, Toxic (if used by a Poison-type Pokemon), or Twister, the move will hit even if the user is in a semi-invulnerable turn.
Brave Bird Flying Type IconFlying Physical 120 16 The user also takes recoil damage equal to 1/3 of the damage inflicted.
Breaking Swipe Dragon Type IconDragon Physical 60 16 Lowers the Attack stats of all opponents hit by the attack by one stage.
Brick Break Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 75 16 This attack destroys protective barriers in play.

Bullet Punch Steel Type IconSteel Physical 40 20 Has an increased Speed priority of 1, allowing it to go faster than most moves. If multiple Pokemon use a move with the same Speed priority, the one with higher Speed will go first.
Bullet Seed Grass Type IconGrass Physical 25 20 The user attacks 2-5 times nonstop. Has a 37.5% chance for 2 hits, 37.5% chance for 3 hits, 12.5% chance for 4 hits, and a 12.5% chance for 5 hits.
Burn Up Fire Type IconFire Special 130 8 Removes the Fire type from the user. If the user was only a Fire type, it will have no type instead.
Burning Jealousy Fire Type IconFire Special 70 8 Burns opponents that gained a stat boost during the turn.
Calm Mind Psychic Type IconPsychic Status - 20 Increases both the Special Attack and Special Defense stat of the user by one stage.
Ceaseless Edge Dark Type IconDark Physical 65 16 The user slashes its shell blade at the target, aiming to land a critical hit. Shell splinters left behind by this attack remain scattered under the target as spikes.
Charge Electric Type IconElectric Status - 20 Increases the damage of the user's next Electric type Attack by 100%. Also increases the user's Special Defense by one stage.
Charge Beam Electric Type IconElectric Special 50 12 Has a 70% chance to increase the user's Special Attack by one stage.
Charm Fairy Type IconFairy Status - 20 Lowers the opponent's Attack by two stages.
Chilling Water Water Type IconWater Special 50 20 Lowers the opponent's Attack by one stage.
Circle Throw Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 60 12 Forces the opponent to switch Pokemon. If used against a single wild Pokemon, this ends the battle.
Clanging Scales Dragon Type IconDragon Special 110 8 Lowers the user's Defense by one stage.
Clangorous Soul Dragon Type IconDragon Status - 8 Lowers the user's HP by 33% and increases each stat by one stage.
Clear Smog Poison Type IconPoison Special 50 16 Removes all of the opponent's stat changes.
Close Combat Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 120 8 Lowers the user's Defense and Special Defense stats by one stage.
Coaching Fighting Type IconFighting Status - 12 Increases the Attack and Defense stat of allies by one stage.
Coil Poison Type IconPoison Status - 20 Increases the user's Attack, Defense, and Accuracy by one stage.
Comeuppance Dark Type IconDark Physical - 12 The user attacks the last opposing Pokemon that hit it with either a physical or special attack, and deals double the damage of the move.
Confuse Ray Ghost Type IconGhost Status - 12 Confuses the opponent.
Copycat Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 The user copies the move used just before it in battle.
Corrosive Gas Poison Type IconPoison Status - 20 Removes the target's held item.
Cosmic Power Psychic Type IconPsychic Status - 20 Increases the user's Defense and Special Defense by one stage.
Cotton Guard Grass Type IconGrass Status - 20 Increases the user's Defense by three stages.
Cotton Spore Grass Type IconGrass Status - 20 Lowers the opponent's Speed by two stages.
Counter Fighting Type IconFighting Physical - 20 If the user is hit by a Physical Attack, inflicts double the damage taken back on the opponent which used the attack.
Covet Normal Type IconNormal Physical 60 20 If the user does not have a held item, it will steal that of the opponent it attacks. In a trainer battle, the stolen item will be returned at the end of the battle.
Crabhammer Water Type IconWater Physical 100 12 This attack has a 1-stage increased Critical Hit ratio.
Cross Chop Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 100 8 This attack has a 1-stage increased Critical Hit ratio.
Cross Poison Poison Type IconPoison Physical 70 20 This attack has a 1-stage increased Critical Hit ratio. Has a 10% to poison the target.
Crunch Dark Type IconDark Physical 80 16 Has a 20% chance to lower the opponent's Defense by one stage.
Crush Claw Normal Type IconNormal Physical 75 12 Has a 50% chance to lower the opponent's Defense by one stage.
Curse Ghost Type IconGhost Status - 12 This attack works differently when used by Ghost-type Pokemon. For most Pokemon, increases the user's Attack and Defense by one stage, but lowers the user's Speed by one stage. For Ghost-type Pokemon, the user loses half their maximum HP to cause the opponent to lose 1/4 of their maximum HP at the end of each turn.
Dark Pulse Dark Type IconDark Special 80 16 Has a 20% chance of causing the opponent to flinch.
Darkest Lariat Dark Type IconDark Physical 85 12 Ignores the opponent's stat changes.
Dazzling Gleam Fairy Type IconFairy Special 80 12 No additional effect.
Defog Flying Type IconFlying Status - 16 Lowers the opponent's Evasion by one stage. Removes Entry Hazards and Barriers on both the user and opponent's side of the field.
Destiny Bond Ghost Type IconGhost Status - 8 After using this move, if the user is knocked out by an opponent's move on the same turn, that opponent will faint as well. Has a chance of failing if used consecutively.
Detect Fighting Type IconFighting Status - 8 Protects the user from attacks. Has a chance of failing if used consecutively. Moves such as Acupressure, Doom Desire, Future Sight, Feint, Imprison, No Guard, Perish Song, Phantom Force, Play Nice, Psych Up, Shadow Force, and Transform bypass this move.
Dig Ground Type IconGround Physical 80 12 The user is semi-invulnerable during the first turn and then attacks during the second turn. If the target uses Helping Hand, Magnitutude, Earthquake, Fissure, or Toxic (if used by a Poison-type Pokemon), the move will still hit even if the user is in a semi-invulnerable turn.
Dire Claw Poison Type IconPoison Physical 80 16 Has a 30% chance of leaving the target poisoned, paralyzed, or asleep.
Disable Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 Prevents the opponent from using its last move used.
Discharge Electric Type IconElectric Special 80 16 Hits all Pokemon on the field and has a 30% chance to paralyze.
Dive Water Type IconWater Physical 80 12 The user is semi-invulnerable during the first turn and attacks during the second turn. If the target uses Helping Hand, Surf, Toxic (if used by a Poison-type Pokemon), or Whirlpool, the move will still hit even if the user is in a semi-invulnerable turn.
Double Hit Normal Type IconNormal Physical 35 12 The user attacks twice in a row.
Double Team Normal Type IconNormal Status - 16 Increases the user's Evasion by one stage.

Electrify Electric Type IconElectric Status - 20 The target's moves become Electric-type for the turn.
Electro Ball Electric Type IconElectric Special - 12 Increases damage based on the difference of Speed between the user and the target. The move's base power increases if the opponent's speed is lower than the user's speed.
Electroweb Electric Type IconElectric Special 55 16 Lowers the opponent's Speed by one stage.
Encore Normal Type IconNormal Status - 8 The opponent repeats their last used move for 3 turns. The move fails if the opponent hasn't used a move, if the last move used has 0 PP, or their move failed.
Endeavor Normal Type IconNormal Physical - 8 Reduces the opponent's HP to match the current HP of the user.
Endure Normal Type IconNormal Status - 12 The user survives any attack for a turn, leaving them with at least 1 HP. Has a chance of failing if used consecutively.

Forest's Curse Grass Type IconGrass Status - 20 The move adds the Grass-type to the target, making it possible for dual-type opponent to have 3 types.
Foul Play Dark Type IconDark Physical 95 16 Uses the opponent's Attack stat in damage calculation. Takes status conditions and stat boosts or drops into consideration but not boosts from the opponent's ability.
Freeze-Dry Ice Type IconIce Special 70 20 Will always be super effective against Water type Pokemon. Does not freeze targets.
Frenzy Plant Grass Type IconGrass Special 150 8 The user will be unable to attack next turn.
Frost Breath Ice Type IconIce Special 60 12 This attack is always a critical hit.
Future Sight Psychic Type IconPsychic Special 120 12 Hits the target two turns after it is used.

Grass Knot Grass Type IconGrass Special - 20 The attack's power is based on the target's weight. The heavier the target, the greater the power. The base power can go as low as 20 if the target opponent is under 10kg and as high as 120 if the target is over 200kg.
Grassy Glide Grass Type IconGrass Physical 55 20 Gets a 1-stage increased Speed priority in Grassy Terrain, allowing it to go faster than most moves. If multiple Pokemon use a move with the same Speed priority, the one with higher Speed will go first.
Grassy Terrain Grass Type IconGrass Status - 12 Heals 6.25% HP of Pokemon on the ground per turn and increases the damage of Grass-type moves by 30% for five turns.

Spikes Ground Type IconGround Status - 20 Hurts the opponent's Pokemon that switch into the battlefield depending on the amount of layers placed by the user. 1 layer damages by 12.5% max HP, 2 layers damages by 16% max HP, and 3 or more layers damages by 25% max HP. The move has no effect on Flying-type Pokemon and Pokemon with Levitate ability.
Spiky Shield Grass Type IconGrass Status - 8 The move protects the user from attacks and damages the opponent by 12% of its max HP if the user is hit by physical attacks.
Spirit Shackle Ghost Type IconGhost Physical 90 12 Prevents the opponent from fleeing and switching out as long as the user remains in battle.
Spit Up Normal Type IconNormal Special - 12 This attack's damage depends on how much power was stored by the move Stockpile. It has a base power of 100 if Stockpile was used once and goes up to 200 and 300 when using the said move 2 and 3 times respectively.
Spite Ghost Type IconGhost Status - 12 The opponent's last used move loses 4 PP.
Stealth Rock Rock Type IconRock Status - 20 Sets rocks that hurt the opponents switching into battle. The amount of damage this move does depends on how weak the opponent is against Rock type moves. The opponent will receive 1/6 damage if the type is not every effective (x0.5), 1/8 damage if the type is neutral (x1), and 1/4 damage if the type is super effective (x2).
Steel Beam Steel Type IconSteel Special 140 8 The user loses half of its max HP unless it has Magic Guard.
Steel Roller Steel Type IconSteel Physical 130 8 The user attacks while destroying the terrain. The move fails if the ground hasn't been turned into a terrain.
Steel Wing Steel Type IconSteel Physical 70 20 Has a 10% chance to increase the user's Defense by one stage.
Sticky Web Bug Type IconBug Status - 20 Sets a web that lowers the opponent's Speed by one stage upon switching into the battlefield. The move does not affect Flying-type Pokemon, Pokemon with Levitate ability, and Pokemon with Air Balloon as a held item.
Stockpile Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 The user stockpiles power for up to 3 turns max. Increases the user's Defense and Special Defense stats by one stage until Stockpile is released using the Spit Up and Swallow moves.
Stomping Tantrum Ground Type IconGround Physical 75 12 Doubles the damage if the user's previous move failed.
Stone Axe Rock Type IconRock Physical 65 16 The user swings its stone axes at the target, aiming to land a critical hit. Stone splinters left behind by this attack float around the target.
Stone Edge Rock Type IconRock Physical 100 8 This attack has a 1-stage increased Critical Hit ratio.
Stored Power Psychic Type IconPsychic Special 20 12 Damages increases by 100% for each stage a stat was increased by the user.
Storm Throw Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 60 12 This attack is always a critical hit.
Strength Sap Grass Type IconGrass Status - 12 Heals the users HP equal to the target's Attack stat. Also lowers the target's Attack by one stage.
String Shot Bug Type IconBug Status - 20 Lowers the opponent's Speed by two stages.
Struggle Bug Bug Type IconBug Special 50 12 Lowers the opponent's Special Attack by one stage.

Taunt Dark Type IconDark Status - 20 The opponent can only use moves that do damage for three turns.
Tearful Look Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 Lowers the opponent's Attack and Special Attack by one stage.
Teatime Normal Type IconNormal Status - 12 The user forces all Pokemon to eat their held Berries.
Teeter Dance Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 The user confuses all Pokemon on the field.
Temper Flare Fire Type IconFire Physical 75 12 Damage dealt is doubled if the user's last move fails.
Terrain Pulse Normal Type IconNormal Special 50 12 This move's type becomes the same as the type of terrain it's on and doubles its damage.
Thief Dark Type IconDark Physical 60 20 If the user does not have a held item, it will steal that of the opponent it attacks. In a trainer battle, the stolen item will be returned at the end of the battle.
Thrash Normal Type IconNormal Physical 120 12 The user uses the same attack for 2-3 turns and then becomes confused.
Throat Chop Dark Type IconDark Physical 80 16 The user stops the opponent from using Sound-based moves for two turns.
Thunder Electric Type IconElectric Special 110 12 This move damages Pokemon using Fly, Bounce, or Sky Drop and has a 30% chance to paralyze the opponent. This move has increased accuracy during Rain, but has decreased accuracy during Harsh Sunlight.
Thunder Fang Electric Type IconElectric Physical 65 16 Has a 10% chance to paralyze the opponent or cause them to flinch.
Thunder Punch Electric Type IconElectric Physical 75 16 Has a 10% chance to paralyze the opponent.
Thunder Wave Electric Type IconElectric Status - 20 Paralyzes the opponent.
Thunderbolt Electric Type IconElectric Special 90 16 Has a 10% chance to paralyze the opponent.
Tickle Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 Lowers the opponent's Attack and Defense by one stage.

Torment Dark Type IconDark Status - 16 The opponent can't use the same move twice in a row.
Toxic Poison Type IconPoison Status - 12 The user badly poisons the opponent. The move has 100 Accuracy if the user is a Poison-type Pokemon. It can hit targets in a semi-vulnerable turn such as Fly or Dig, but it cannot hit through Protect or Detect.
Toxic Spikes Poison Type IconPoison Status - 20 Sets toxic spikes that badly poisons the opponent switching into battle. The amount of damage this move does depends on how many layers the user has placed. Badly poisoned Pokemon will receive an increasing amount of damage each turn. In contrast, poisoned Pokemon will receive a fixed amount of damage each turn.
Toxic Thread Poison Type IconPoison Status - 20 Poisons the target and lowers their Speed by two stages.
Trailblaze Grass Type IconGrass Physical 50 20 Increases the user's Speed by one stage.
Tri Attack Normal Type IconNormal Special 80 12 Has a 20% chance to burn, freeze, or paralyze the opponent.
Trick Psychic Type IconPsychic Status - 12 The user switches held items with the opponent. The move permanently switches items in wild battles but not in trainer battles.
Trick Room Psychic Type IconPsychic Status - 8 The user changes the turn order, making the slower Pokemon move first for five turns.
Trick-or-Treat Ghost Type IconGhost Status - 20 The target gains the Ghost type. If the target is a dual-type Pokemon, they will have 3 types at once.
Triple Arrows Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 90 20 The user kicks, then fires three arrows. This move has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit and may also lower the target’s Defense stat or make it flinch.
Triple Axel Ice Type IconIce Physical 20 12 The user hits the opponent up to 3 times, dealing more damage with each successful hit. The move's base power is at 20 and increases to 40 and 60 for each hit, respectively.
Trop Kick Grass Type IconGrass Physical 85 16 Lowers the opponent's Attack by one stage.
Twin Beam Psychic Type IconPsychic Special 40 12 The user attacks twice in a row.
U-turn Bug Type IconBug Physical 70 20 The user switches out with another Pokemon in the party.
Upper Hand Fighting Type IconFighting Physical 65 16 The user reacts to the target's movements and strikes with the heel of its palm. If the target was trying to use a priority move, the user will get the jump on them, allowing the user to attack first and cause their opponent to flinch without fail. This move will fail if the target wasn’t readying a priority move.
Uproar Normal Type IconNormal Special 90 12 The user uses the same attack for 3 turns, no Pokemon can fall asleep during this time.
Vacuum Wave Fighting Type IconFighting Special 40 20 Has an increased Speed priority of 1, allowing it to go faster than most moves. If multiple Pokemon use a move with the same Speed priority, the one with higher Speed will go first.
Venoshock Poison Type IconPoison Special 65 12 Doubles the damage if the opponent is poisoned.
Volt Switch Electric Type IconElectric Special 70 20 The user switches out with another Pokemon in the party.
Volt Tackle Electric Type IconElectric Physical 120 16 The user also takes recoil damage equal to 1/3 of the damage inflicted, has a 10% chance to paralyze the opponent.
Water Pulse Water Type IconWater Special 60 20 Has a 20% chance to confuse the opponent.
Water Spout Water Type IconWater Special 150 8 This attack deals more damage the higher the user's HP.
Waterfall Water Type IconWater Physical 80 16 Has a 20% chance of causing the opponent to flinch.
Wave Crash Water Type IconWater Physical 120 12 The user shrouds itself in water and slams into the target with its whole body to inflict damage. This also damages the user quite a lot.
Weather Ball Normal Type IconNormal Special 50 12 This attack's type and power depends on the weather in the battlefield.
Whirlpool Water Type IconWater Special 35 16 Inflicts damage equal to 1/8 of the opponent's max HP each turn and prevents them from fleeing and switching out for 4-5 turns, or until the user switches out or faints.
Whirlwind Normal Type IconNormal Status - 20 Forces the opponent to switch Pokemon. If used against a single wild Pokemon, this ends the battle.
Wide Guard Rock Type IconRock Status - 12 Protects all Pokemon on the user's side of the field from attacks that would hit both Pokemon for this turn.
Wild Charge Electric Type IconElectric Physical 90 16 The user also takes recoil damage equal to 25% of the damage inflicted.
Will-O-Wisp Fire Type IconFire Status - 16 This attack burns the opponent.
Wish Normal Type IconNormal Status - 12 Heals the user or Pokemon in its place by 50% of the user's max HP in the next turn.

Moves in Pokemon are divided by type and category, which determine how damage is calculated in battle. Moves are classified as Physical, Special, or Status, with damage based on the user’s stats and the opponent’s defenses.

Some moves may also have secondary effects, such as inflicting status conditions or raising and lowering stats.

Pokemon Champions Damage Based on Type
Pokemon moves are divided into 18 distinct types, from the basic Fire, Water, and Grass types to the mighty Dragon-type.

Moves can do more or less damage depending on your Pokemon's move type and the opposing Pokemon's type, so make sure to use moves that attack an opposing Pokemon's weakness!

Moves Have Three Categories

As is with every Pokemon game, every move falls under one of three categories: Physical, Special, or Status.

Physical moves use the attacker’s Attack stat and the target’s Defense stat when calculating damage while Special moves use the attacker’s Special Attack stat and the target’s Special Defense stat. Status moves do not deal direct damage but instead provide buffs, debuffs, or inflict status conditions.

Some Moves Have A Secondary Effect

Pokemon Champions Move Effects
Certain moves have secondary effects that may activate during battle. These effects can include a chance to cause status conditions, lowering an opponent’s stats, or providing team support like setting up Reflect or Light Screen.

Secondary effects are not guaranteed unless the move specifically states otherwise.

In Pokemon Champions, some moves have their base power, accuracy, and secondary effects changed. PP has also been standardized across the game and are automatically maxed out, removing the need to use PP Up or PP Max.

Additionally, some Pokemon have their learnset changed, with some getting new moves while others have moves removed.
