Sinistcha Strengths and Weaknesses
Advantage Sinistcha is able to heal teammates with Hospitality, and provide support with Rage Powder or Trick Room. It is also able to reliably heal itself with Matcha Gotcha.
Disdvantage Has a number of weaknesses because of its typing.

Effective Bulky Special Attacker

Sinistcha is an effective bulky special attacker in VGC thanks to its good defensive typing and access to Matcha Gotcha, its signature move. This lets it stay on the field longer than other less bulky offensive threats.

Matcha Gotcha, a move unique to Sinistcha, not only deals spread damage, but also restores Sinistcha's HP. This gives it sustainability while also applying offensive pressure.

Sinistcha also has access to powerful utility options like Rage Powder and Trick Room, both of which are great in VGC. Sinistcha's flexibility allows it to be a good inclusion in balance teaams.

Sinistcha can be slotted into Balance Teams with common strong Pokemon like Palafin and Incineroar, and form a Grass-Fire-Water Core. Sinistcha can come in later in a match and heal its teammates with Hospitality.

This version of Sinistcha leans harder into support and less into offense. Trick Room and Imprison ensures that Trick Room only goes up under your own terms. Rage Powder offers redirection but use it carefully, as Sinistcha will not survive too many hits despite its stat investment.

Sinistcha Checks and Counters

OHKO Sinistcha as soon as you can.
Mega Charizard Y Mega Gengar Kingambit

While it has access to redirection in Rage Powder, Sinistcha does not have a lot of bulk to sustain damage.
Lock it out of its options.
Whimsicott

Getting locked into a move through Encore can severely limit Sinistcha's effectiveness as a support Pokemon.

Sinistcha has lots of weaknesses because of its Grass/Ghost typing. Oftentimes, a super-effective hit is enough to take it out.

Locking it out of its utility options with Encore or Taunt can also limit its usefulness in a match.

Sinistcha is best used as a mid to late-game switch-in. It has a decent amount of resistances that allow it to be a good defensive switch for its teammates. Its Hospitality also replenishes a teammate's HP when Sinistcha enters the field.
