Yep. They are separated. This is the first thing they should update. Include a crossplay so that the players from all devices can play with each other and reduce the time in finding a match.

i think the resistance is already a cat & mouse game due to its gameplay making the mastermind a cat and controlling everything in that place

this is good. then the mastermind has a choice of attacking or defending. It adds more thrill to the game.
At first I thought resistance would be like this. kinda disappointing for me.
It's a bit confusing. lol they could just let the survivors choose, kill the mastermind or escape the area. just getting out is boring. give them more freedom.
what if they made a game mode which is a battle of the masterminds. whoever kills one survivor will get points. and the survivors' objectives are to find the masterminds' room and kill them.
