How to Get Gyarados Fast

Catch One in Any Game

The best way to get a Gyarados is by catching one in any of the games that support Pokemon HOME. It's a very common Pokemon included in every mainline game, so it won't be hard to find one. If ever, it's recommended to catch one in SV since it's the easiest to train battle-ready Pokemon in that game.

Evolve from a Magikarp

Similarly, Magikarp is also an extremely common Pokemon, so you can also get a Gyarados by evolving one. However, this does take an extra step, meaning it's still recommended to catch one instead.
