How to Get Gengar Fast

Catch in SwSh, PLA, SV, and Z-A

The best way to get a Gengar is by catching one wandering around the overworld of Sword and Shield, Legends Arceus, Scarlet and Violet, and Legends Z-A. Also, they can be encountered during raids in SwSh and SV as well.

Use a Link Cord on a Haunter in Legends Arceus

Alternatively, you can also get a Gengar by using a Link Cord on a Haunter in Legends Arceus. This an item exclusive to PLA, and you will need to manually trade for a Gengar if you're trying to get one in any other game.
