Back Attack Critical Hits are Impossible

Other than using the Lucky Stars limit break, it is impossible to deal guaranteed Critical Hits as you cannot attack the back of Bahamut Fury.

Focus on Building ATK and HP Stats

Since Bahamut Fury has resistance to all three elements, you have no choice but to use Melee Attacks. Use accessories and materia that boost your HP and ATK to keep yourself from dying and be able to deal a lot of damage.

What Does Each Stat Mean?

Attack While Avoiding Pushback

When Bahamut Fury is about to push you back, you can dodge it to avoid breaking your combos and to keep on damaging the boss upfront.

Keep Moving Avoid Missiles

When Bahamut Fury launches three missiles, simply keep moving around to avoid getting hit by them.

Dodge Forward to Avoid Cluster Sphere

Bahamut Fury will charge up and launch three balls of light toward you. When he charges up, move away as far as you can. Once one of the light balls are about to hit you, dodge forward against the direction of the ball to avoid taking damage.

Exaflare Damages MP and AP

Ether

Soma

Bahamut's Exaflare not only damages your HP, but it can also deplete your MP and AP. So do your best to deplete Bahamut Fury's Ability Gauge when it shows up.

If you do manage to get hit by Exaflare, you can use Ether and Soma to restore your MP and AP.

Use Aerith's Limit Break

Aerith's Limit Break is easier to attain thanks to the raised probability in matching Aerith's images. You can use Aerith's Limit Break right before the Exaflare to avoid taking damage.

Use MBarrier to Reduce Exaflare Damage

You can use the MBarrier to reduce damage taken if you fail to prevent the Exaflare attack.
