How to Beat Behemoth

Tutorial Boss Fight

The Behemoth Boss Fight serves as a tutorial to get used to the combat in Crisis Core Reunion. Remember to use Lock-On, DMW, and Critical Hits from hitting weakspots.

Dodge then Attack the Behemoth's Back

The Behemoth's weakspot is at its back due to only being able to wag its tail and hitting it will always guarantee a Critical Hit. You can easily dodge the tail attack and hit its back.

Use Magic Materia

Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga can be used in this introductory boss fight. You can use these materia to deal as much DMG to the Behemoth as possible. You won't be able to keep the materia after the fight.

Zack Cannot Die

Zack's HP will not decrease to zero in this boss fight, this means Behemoth cannot kill you. Zack will receive less damage the lower his HP gets.

Behemoth Attack Patterns

Attack Pattern Description
Double Claw Attack Behemoth lunges forward and does a two-hit combo with his claws.
Tail Swing Behemoth only does this when Zack is behind them. Behemoth swings his tail twice to attack.
Wide Tail Slash Behemoth attacks with his tail on a wide radius. This attack will cause knockback.
Heave A fast attack that causes knockback.
