How to Heal: Potions & Magic

You can heal by going to the Items or Materia menu in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion and choosing a healing Item or Materia. Read on for more info on how to heal in the game.

How to Heal

Healing can be done either by consuming items from the Item Menu, or using Materia from the Materia Menu.

Healing in Combat

While in combat, you may use equipped healing materia or items to replenish your health.

Use Healing Materia

Materia Effect
Cure Restores a small amount of Zack's HP.
Cura Moderately restores Zack's HP.
Curaga Greatly restores Zack's HP
Full Cure Fully restores Zack's HP
Regen Continuously recovers HP for 60 seconds.

Use Healing Items

Item Effect
Potion Restores a small amount of HP.
Hi-Potion Restores a moderate amount of HP.
X-Potion Restores a large amount of HP.
Elixir Fully restores HP, MP, and AP, and heals all status ailments.
Phoenix Down Fully restores HP when user is incapacitated.

Healing Outside of Combat

You can heal with multiple ways outside of combat, either by using items and materia or healing through a Save Point.

Quick Healing

You can perform a quick heal by pressing down on your D-pad which automatically consumes or uses your items.

Materia or Item Menu

You can also heal by selecting an item or materia from their respective menus.

Heal at a Save Point

You can also stand at a Save Point to replenish your HP, AP, and MP without consuming items or using materia.

How to Remove Status Ailments

Use Items or Materia

Status Ailments are debuffs the player may recieve from enemies.

Instead of using healing items or materia, it is advised to remove these before healing.

Item Effect
Elixir Fully restores HP, MP, and AP, and heals all status ailments.
Remedy Heals all status ailments.
Materia Effect
Esuna Removes Poison and Curse.
