Difficulty Differences: Normal vs Hard Mode

★ Game8's Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Wiki is now live!

Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion - Difficulty Differences
This article details the differences between playing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion on Hard and Normal difficulty. Read on to learn about the changes in enemy strengths, potential rewards for SP, Gil, or EXP, and if playing on Hard unlocks a secret ending!

Difference by Difficulty

Increased Enemy Stats on Hard Mode

Normal Mode Standard difficulty that will allow you to enjoy the story without much trouble.
Hard Mode A more challenging difficulty for those looking for intense battles.

On Hard difficulty, enemy stats are boosted. Their HP is increased alongside their stats, turning even trivial enemies into potential threats.

This is recommended for series veterans and players who want to spice up combat, especially after clearing the game.

Changes to Rewards

No Changes to SP or Gil

There are no differences in SP or Gil rewards between enemies on Hard Mode, and enemies on Normal Mode.

EXP Gain is Likely the Same on Both

While there are no values to confirm varying EXP gain on both difficulty modes, it is likely that both have the same EXP growth rate based on testing.

However, do note that enemies can be defeated faster on Normal Mode due to their lower stats, making that difficulty faster for farming EXP. Additionally, when enemies die quickly, the faster you are able to farm SP and Gil as well.
