I never used grenades in the game wtf. I was too focused on using guns.
Yep. For example when he is still chasing you at the start, use the grenade to instantly knock him out. he will also drop some goodies.
If you have enough, Yes. But there aren't many grenades, especially on harder modes. Just use it as the finisher.
Can we beat nemesis by using only grenades on him?
It's possible, but I don't think they have. Nuclear weapons are the real threat for us, as of now.

I am saying if the tank is about to explode where it will not explode by using 1 bullet. I'd rather use a grenade to surely kill him
would you rather use 1 grenade to knock him out or only use 1 bullet? environmental traps are much better to use.
