Yes, I'm sure there is literature out there that says putting a face to fear makes it less more manageable. It's when you don't know what you're up against that gives you chills. That's real fear.
I agree. The element of surprise and the unknown was what made the original RE and RE2 games scary. You can't beat surprise and the unknown, but Nemesis is beatable. Therefore, not scary.
I just don't scare that easily. Lucky you. You can still enjoy the fear element of the game. I can't. I think this stuff is meant to scare little kids, maybe, but not grown adults. There are scarier things in life than a big ugly monster.
Nemesis isn't THAT hard to beat. Also, if I go by what you said, that means ALL hard bosses, in any game, are scary. But we all know that's not true. Being difficult to beat doesn't equal scary.
Hey, Nemesis scared me. He's scary to me now. It's not about what he looks like. It's because he's so hard to beat in the game.
Yeah, and Nemesis wasn't even THAT scary the first time around in 1999. He's just ugly. Interesting origin, I guess, but not novel.

I just want to be scared. RE doesn't scare me anymore. The last time RE scared me was with the original RE2 on the original PS. RE is a HORROR game franchise. The least it can do is HORRIFY me.

Nemesis for smash confirmed. Nemesis that cant even get stunned by handguns get fished by isabelle then thrown off stage. GAME!!!!
So it is for Jap region only? and the other alternative title for the z version outside jap is the standard edition? is this correct?
The Z version is the censored release for the japanese. Just get the standard western edition of the game and you will have the z version
Checked my Steam for the z version on my PC but there is no z version available for the game. I think it is more of a jap-exclusive for this z version of the game.
Does anyone of you have the Z-version of the game? or is it jap-exclusive?

I posted this as a "Question," but idk if people will see, so here it is again. How do you all feel about Resident Evil reinventing itself? Just get off Umbrella. Get off Raccoon City. Get off the characters. Lose the T-Virus. Go to small town. Go to graveyard. Make the dead undead, with you stuck in the crematorium. Don't give us answers. Just scare the shit out of us. Make us build our own weapons from the things we pick up. If we're smart, we survive. If we suck, we're dead.
I really wish I recorded it, but I don't even know if they'll ever do it again.
